Exactly, Adams is generally considered a meddlesome owner, but we have no idea how much or how often he meddled. I'm sure that Fisher thinks it was too much. And the Young situation was a fairly public instance of him meddling. I believe that Fisher's biggest concern with picking a team is ending up with a meddlesome owner or GM. However, I'm not sure that we have any idea how good or bad Fisher is at handling the GM side.

Can't wait for this to drag out into next week.

The ultimate kick in the nuts will be after we pay Fisher more than Harbaugh and he doesn't bring Greg Williams here

And then he signs Vince Young.

New here on this site. However, my guess is that I will be following Coach Fisher's progress with this team closely soon. The Dolphin HC job appears to have problems related to existing GM from what I gather from some members of this forum. Ask yourself a question. Do you want to give a prospective good coach time to solve this GM problem by playing hardball so that this is not a continuing problem for this team and the new coach and staff? Or perhaps you just want someone else hired to fill a current void and continue to have underlying problems that effect this team going forward. I do not think Coach Fisher goes with the Rams. I think he only goes with the Dolphins if certain concerns are dealt with. That should be worth the wait and not worth a band-aid approach. He is playing hardball now, so as to have everything set and ready to coach productively which will result in a winning team. He is applying pressure to get the things he wants. If he does not obtain that objective . . . doubt he will coach at all!

He needs to just pick... does he not care about my health? (been a while... at this whole messageboard thing... I'm rusty)

What's up! Been missing this place, but life took over and I seriously had no time at all. Hoping to start again, even if its only sporadically. This Jeff Fisher thing has been giving me an ulcer, wanted him when it was rumoured that the titans were going to dump him before we got Cameron. So I am excited it might finally happen.

Yeah, ulcers are right...latest I've seen was from Glazier in his chat where he said that he is "shocked that Fisher hasn't accepted the Rams offer and that the reason is mainly due to the potential that Kroenke might want to move the franchise. He's 'been there, done that' and doesn't want to go thru it again." It's really a sticking point to his decision, according to Glazier....

According to latest reports, that has been dealt with by giving Fisher the 'Exec VP' title and autonomy over Ireland, with $8M salary to boot. I don't think that is any longer an issue. He's torn between the advantages the Rams have (Bradford, #2 overall, more cap space) and the disadvantage of the potential move of the franchise to somewhere other than St. L.

If he doesn't make his decision today, the Dolphins should move on.

If the potential move is his biggest issue with the Rams then he shouldn't go there, period. Kroenke can never take the possibility of moving off the table as its his only leverage to get a new stadium in STL.

So if that's the only problem, there should be no problem, as his choice to come here should be obvious. If it's not, I would venture that he is looking for a reason to come here, rather than really wanting to be here. And if that's the case, I don't need him.

I think that would make his choice obvious, unless the choice is really between Miami, St. Louis and waiting for the right situation. In which case, I'm inclined to say stay away. I want the person who wants to be here, not the one who has to b convinced to be here. If it doesn't feel right, Fisher and Miami should walk away.
