honestly... really Jaws... you just watched us kick the Jets' *** with it. shut your face. Gimmick? Why? Because it hasnt been done in the NFL in years??? I dont really see the big deal. its a LEGAL formation... its a running play. Why is it any different than a QB draw? or QB sweep? Whatever you want to call it... They aren't considered gimmicks. Nobody said anything when Shaub beat us with a QB draw last year in Houston... it was "heroic" then. Im tired of hearing this crap. I just cant for the life of me understand why people call the WC a gimmick. Its a legal, regular formation. and 9.9 times out of 10, its a run. STOP IT. its not difficult. So its not traditional... big deal. Why should football be a sport of every team, running similar, but slightly different plays all the time, every time. Heaven forbid a team bring some excitement to offence instead of the same crap every play. Jaws should just shut his face, realize nobody really cares what he has to say, and he should just STFU. Its pretty simply IMO.
Jaws is sounding like the croctchety old dude who doesn't like TV because radio was always enough for him... Besides, Jaws was sort of offbase in that he brings up the Colts game, yet doesn't consider Henne is an entirely different Qb than Penny ever was, with Henne dynamic plays can happen in the passing game. And if you think Jaws ripped the WC, John Clayton on Mike&Mike torches the WC, as in "it won't work, the teams that have tried it have already given up on it..." He also said "Sparano gambles on the WC and gets away with it" but for ESPN they just are married to that Colts game, whenever something positive happens via the WC, Clayton and Jaws bring up the Colts game. meh I like jaws. Having said that when you run it as much as we do, have imitators who are also successful, and win games with it, etc. The time has to come where you see it for what it is, something new that is quickly becoming this teams forte. There will always be people adverse to change though, this crap won't go away for quite some time.
