PFT JASON TAYLOR TO RETIRE Posted by Mike Florio on April 1, 2008, 8:17 a.m. Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor, currently a contestant on that showcase for show business has-beens and wannabes known as Dancing with the Stars, will announce on Tuesday night’s broadcast his retirement from the National Football League. And while many have assumed that Taylor joined the ABC dancing joint for the sole purpose of getting himself in line for a post-football career in acting and/or infomercials, he has fallen in love with dancing, which he is now referring to simply as “the dance.” “I love the dance,” Taylor recently said. “No matter whether I reach my dream of winning the Lombardi Trophy of the entertainment world, I plan to move to New York and pursue a career in the dance. “I’ll start from the bottom. I’ll show up for every audition. I just need to find a good set of leg warmers, because I’m kind of tall.” its a joke i guess??
It's that time of year again. We should also be getting a press release from 3D Realms stating that Duke Nukem Forever will be released tomorrow. EDIT: Guess not, but they did post a really cool screenshot.
I'm betting this story has about as much legs as the story that he's going to be hosting Survivor - http://www.realfootball365.com/nfl/articles/21707.html
I figured when they didn't have a source and then I had to look at my calendar and knew i fell for it hard.( i didnt really read it prior to posting either)
JT has been involved in a lot of April fools jokes. He said he was going to retire a few years ago on a radio show too......on April fools day.
The clue will be if the local papers pick up on the story .There are local journalists who are friendly with him and all they have to do is pick up the phone to confirm the story.
ive got to admit... the thread title had me going at first. then once i got to the part of "the dance" i knew this wasnt right. damnit. i hate being fooled hah
well now skolnick is saying that when ireland heard about the 'story' that he didn't just laugh it off (which most likely means nothing.) HOWEVER, if he seriously did act scared and disturbed in front of other team rep's, that could show other teams that maybe JT is seriously considering retiring, which would seriously lessen any trade value he has and hurt our fins on a trade. I realize it's all a stretch, but maybe people should think a bit before posting april fool's stories about someone's career. I'll admit, i love april fool's pranks, especially mean ones.. but couldn't it have been like "oh jason taylor is dead" or something? that way we're not left with any satellite questions about it afterwards? just my 2 cents
