In one part of the interview, Werder asks him "Will you play this season?" and Jason says " I may not have a choice". Werder then goes on to say " You could sit out the season" and Jason says with a grin " I could always do that" or along those lines.
I'd almost rather go back to the dumb discussions of Favre, . . . . . not. The JT saga continues . . .
He did give some love to Joey Porter saying some of the things he does, does not show up on the stat sheet
Or he then retires. He is not being traded while he has value higher than what The Trio are being offered. JT had best come to this conclusion and play here or retire. By the way, retiring doesn't get him free agency as some seem to think. He will remain Miami Dolphins property for two more seasons unless he is traded, and then he is someone elses property for two seasons. So what purpose would holding out do for him ? If you want to get into a p*ssing match with Parcells you'd better be in for the long haul cuz he won't blink or budge.
Exactly!! I think Ireland wants to trade him for the right price. No longer will the Dolphins be fleeced in a trade. Those days are behind us.
See how sneaky the ESPN guy was, he kept asking JT those vague questions to see what his response would be. Why didn't he ask him if he was going to report to training camp? Is it just me or does JT seem ready to go off at any minute in most of these interviews I've seen since he came back to Miami from CA? For some reason I'm having a hard time picturing JT doing laps in practice if the coaches try to make him. Say what you want about his situation & the way that he has handled it, but it is bad for team morale no matter how you slice it...
Wasn't it BP who stated earlier, something like," Jt will either play for the Dolphins or he will retire." It will get interesting...
JT was on ESPN2's First Take this morning. Said : a) basically the same as he has been, but was a bit more adamant about he will only play for a team that is a winner or trying to win, that he is better than 1-15 record. b) that he and Bill Parcells will have to come to an agreement and the longer the Dolphins take the worse it will be for them Take what you want, but I believe JT has gotten a bit jealous that Favre is taking his limelight. I am really done with this primadonna. But the Dolphins better not cave in to this guy, it would set a bad precedence.
