Per Joe Rose's radio show, JT's agent is on with Joe Rose and just mentioned that Rex Ryan has wanted JT since last yr, and JT would not visit in 09, but this yr JT is up in NY..right now..visiting with Rex Ryan. They lost Jay Feeley and now have room to sign 1 Free Agent and apparently Ryan wants JT in NJ puke green. No link yet:
Well, not so much raffie, the Jets now have up to 5 million to spend after losing Feeley, JT's future in Miami is unclear, and JT wants a two yr deal something Ireland won't give him But JT+Jest Green=disgust overload. Small wonder Ireland has a presser called for tomorrow though, at least a online chat..
I just never expected him to be interested in NY. If he wouldn't go to NE because they are a division rival, why is he talking with NY?
NE is in rebuilding mode with a boatload of draft picks there is no room for him in NE. The Jets need a versatile passrusher and JT is that, and Ryan has been after him for 2 offseasons now, and they won't take the chance of the Dolphins not resigning him.
$$$$$$$$$$$$ I find it hard to believe the Jets will sign him when they tried to get Feely to take a pay cut and released him. Now they have Nick (I can't find the uprights) Folk. But who know's.
I don't see this happening. JT has been open over the years about his hatred of the Jets entire organization including the fans. It seems like some kind of strange leverage situation. He doesn't need the money and does not want to be away from his family. I guessing he will be a Dolphin in three weeks.
A.J. Feeley is a QB Jay Fiedler was a QB Jay Feely without an e between the l and the y is the Jets former kicker.
Wouldn't put this past him. On the plus side, the folks in Miami might get another full newspaper page thank you from him.
If this little f***** signs with the Jets, I'm boxing all of my Jets belongings and putting them in the attic. I will quit being a fan until he retires. Screw him. I'm so furious right now. KEEP JASON TAYLOR IN MIAMI.
While my knee jerk reaction is WTF, after thinking about it, I'm gonna say it's probably just a ruse. I mean, I just don't see JT wearing a Jests uni when it's all said and done. He's either working under cover for Parcells, or he's trying to leverage the best deal he can get in Miami. JMHO...
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5063035 Apparently last yr Ryan tried to sign him and JT wouldn't even talk with them, this year he is making the visit with his wife and they will have the grand tour. To me, it comes down to whether or not they offer him a 2yr deal.
My thoughts exactly. He is a mole, planted by Parcells, to gain access to Rex's various food recipes.
Was it a ruse when Pennington came to Miami? What about when Cox went to the Jets? Lucas to Miami? Ward to Miami? Granted...the hate that JT has for the Jets should steer him away from them. However, there is no telling what anyone will do just to play the game and get the paycheck. It will piss me the F off if he signs with them and there is no turning back once he does it. You can't come back and say you are a Phin once you put on their gear.
Subterfuge to the extreme! But that would explain why the Phins have been 'ignoring' him. Make the Jets think that we arent interested, JT goes there to talk, says no, comes back to Miami with a few 'secrets' and gets signed. I love it!
Yeah, but you left out the best part. That's where JT strings them out for a 2-3 weeks (until after the draft) before he says "stick it Rexy!"
No it isnt, JT is a sellout, he was entertaining talks with the Pats too last year...some things you dont do...this is one of them... Maybe JT should heed the words of Zack Thomas....when he was asked about going to the Jets or Pats instead of retiring..
Yeah cuz your boy Gholston panned out right?? or any of those other hacks you got trying to rush a passer...
no worries RR, if he does, Incognito will chop block him, a penatly, I will gladly accept as a fan... the best 15 yards ever spent...
this isnt peewee football, if the dolphins don't have to sign him he doesn't have to respect the phins rivalries. Its business.
