I'm not surprised at all. From what I remember, the only reason JA stayed here this season was because he would be given the chance to start. Now that Sean Smith has taken back that role, I think the agreement was to let JA go.

Whoa. Did not see this coming. Dude showed promise there during the start of the season. He was definitely not my favorite Dolphin of all time.

...now watch the Patriots pick him up.

    Wow ....

    Roller effin coaster....

Surprised in that he could have at least been a good to very good special team maven.

The end to a long lack luster Dolphin saga , never saw him as the player that warranted pick 16 , not even close, wish I had been wrong. Though he did put a couple games together at the start of this year.

Moving on time , yet again.

Well that's kind of surprising ... seems like a knee jerk reaction to me. Odd timing, considering he had somewhat of a career renassance to start the year. If you're going to waive him why not let Smith start the whole season?

So hold up...we straight up waive the guy with the most INT's on the team and arguably our best special teams player?

Makes total sense. No, it really does... except that you're a team THAT CAN'T GET PICKS AND SUCKS ON SPECIAL TEAMS.

Fasano also not practicing along with Chris Clemons, two players who dropped balls the last two weeks.

This reminds me of that great scene in the Godfather:

"Tonight the Corleone Family handles all of it's business"

Second half of the season, maybe they are clearing the decks?

Jason Allen won't make it past the Brownies, let along Detroit imo

not sure how any corner could recover from the way that Wallace beat him...he probably went into a shell after that.

Clemons has dropped two interceptions that led to 14 pts in the last two weeks, if JA can be waived, why couldn't Clemons be benched for Jones?

It's really obvious that he was not on the punt team BECAUSE he was not starting. Has he ever NOT been out there? It just so happens he screws the pooch thte week he got benched?

No, I say F'em. A dude like that will change the culture of your team. For reference, see the Dallas Cowboys.

Disagree, he has avg Cb skills, but a nose for the football at Cb, he will get burned, he will create interceptions, that is JA.

I don't think he makes out of the top 5 waiver claimants:

    Bills, Cowboys, Lions, Panthers, Brownies.

Say what one will about JA, he will not Ole' a tackle attempt ala Scandrick.

Yeh....this organization seems to have no rhyme of reason. I didnt think he played that bad...and actually played very good at times. I just ..... who knows. I mean if the are signing Al Harris because they feel he's an upgrade. But...wouldnt you suppose your waiving a guy because your replacing him with an upgrade...somewhere?

At this point in the season....its just kooky. But, then again, everything was kooky before the season started.

I get the feeling that the weirdness has to do with the CBA and next season...

Yes but he wasn't going to be resigned here for what he wanted anyway. And at this point, allowing him a pass on the biggest goof on Sunday was not an option.

Desperate times call for desperate measures?

Desperate or urgent , either or , this coaching staff needs to reflect that imo.

I thought Jenkins was the big culprit. I thought I recalled Scandrick being a pretty willing tackler in college.

But...he hasn't started for most of his career at DB. He's been jerked around by three different coaching staffs. He's also never had off-the-field issues. You think he'd have survived this long if the coaches didn't feel he was a good guy to have around?
