This actually pisses me off. For two main reasons... First, why make it a Japanese exclusive demo? It's just a demo. Second, the 360 is less popular in Japan than Herpes... What's the point of this move? Japanese flks hate American stuff... oh well I guess.
That's what Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey were for. The problem is that Japan still stigmatizes western games based on how they used to suck early in the '90s, and that a lot of our AAA titles are shooters, either third-person (Gears of War) or first-person (Call of Duty 4.) Even the sandbox games like GTA4 are pretty much shooters. Our RPGs, like Mass Effect, aren't to their taste because they prefer linearity--or at least they prefer having a clear objective and a recommended path to take. (Hideo Kojima has *****ed about this tendency more than a few times.) Microsoft needs Viva Pinata on a macro scale to have a chance there.
