You are accurate in your assessment of Jake Long 71..He is the premier player at his position, and he's all ours.

I just highlight the link, right click, and google chrome has an option to go to that link. Not sure about other browsers.

Is it that hard to copy and paste a link?

You see the rows of icons above the text field in which you type your post? Look for the small green circle with a chain under it. It's next to the white envelope. That's the link icon. You can use it one of two ways: you can highlight text and then click the button, which will allow you to paste a link into a pop-up dialog and thus change all of the text you highlighted into a link; or you can click the button without highlighting anything, in which case you'll be prompted to paste the link into a similar pop-up dialog as well as optionally write some sort of text to denote the link.

Jake Long was truly a great pick and a dominant Left Tackle and say what you will, they are not that easy to find. I just really hope that Pouncey lives up to the hype and we can say the same about his pick that we now say about Jake Long's pick.
Its nice to have that insurance at Left Tackle instead of the big question mark we had there for so many years.

Is it that hard to just let it go and not try to prove how smart you are?

    Well away from here
We all have to start somewhere, and the only way to find out is to ask.

I liked the interview and Dukes made some good points. I have to agree that Thomas is at worst 1b with Long being 1a or vice versa. Time may prove one of those two better than the other, but they are pretty even right now. And as Dukes said, Thomas may be a little more smooth and polished and Long is that mauler you look for in a LT but how could you really choose between the two ?? It's pretty hard to do so...

As to Pouncey, it may be too soon to assume he's his brothers' equal. His bro did some things none of us really expected last season for Pitts...

But, I am also in the group that would like to see Pouncey at C. Ritchie did a good job there, IMO, but he's no where near the athlete that Pouncey might end up being and you want that athleticism at the C position. Sparano has not found the sweet spot of this OL as of yet. Perhaps between Incognito, Garner and Jerry he can get come up with a pair of Gs that can complete the OL, something we sorely need to happen to progress with this regime...

I thought the interview was weak..Dukes sounds like he has no clue about the specifics of their individual games, sounds to me like he doesn't watch a lot of film..no mention of quickness off the LOS..How great Jake is as a pass protecter, basically the only word he could call him was a mauler''...Child please..

His favorites are Mangold and Pouncey from Pitt...2 players that our other guy Solai completely dominated..No question about it..

The guy sounded like he was talking to fans, not people who know the game..

    Where something is rotten
I would say they are pretty much even, but I would give the edge to Jake.. Thomas has had more stability on his line plus Jake played hurt last season and still maintained his play - So just for that I think Jake pulls ahead slightly but both are great players..

No it isnt. I used to do it all the time from a computer for a few years. Lately I have been using a phone and the same stuff I am used to is not there so I thought things had changed. Everything looks different to me.

My thoughts EXACTLY!!! Typical generic kind of interview that ya get from virtually any of the national media types. There are at least 50 forum members here who know Jake and Pouncey's strengths and weaknesses better than Dukes does, or any of the other NFLN talking heads for that matter.

Dukes is a bad commentator and he gets ribbed for it daily on NFLN by his co-hosts. He says some of the dumbest shiznit and thinks he's the end all be all of football knowledge. Or at least he acts like he does.
