7/23 83 Yards 3 INT's 1st pick in the draft should be throwing for 300 yrds and 4 TD's. Man what a bust
Russell has a gun. He's made some throws that just make you go wow. I know you're mocking people that dont see anything in Beck yet but Russell has shown flashes of potential where Beck hasnt up to now. Noone is sour on Beck because of his stats its becuase of the utter lack of anything to get excited about regarding his game. He's as vanilla as they come so far
I watched quite a bit of that game because watching Eli Manning disturbs me, win or lose for NYG. But come on. Jamarcus Russell didn't show a damn thing; he looked tentative at times and that's me being friendly. For the most part, it was one of the worse performances I've ever seen in my life by a QB. Very Ray Lucas like performance, to be honest. Nonetheless, that is what most QB's do in their rookie seasons at least once or twice.
Russell looked horrible today, but I posted it in jest because of all the Beck haters claiming bust after a few games.
No QB should play their first year. If a team is bad enough that they're thinking of putting a rookie QB in, then that team has problems the rookie QB will be unable to compensate for. Meanwhile, you destroy the guy's confidence in many cases, unless he's pretty mentally tough. Then again, I wasn't sold on JaMarcus Russell in the first place. He has a mass driver for an arm, but not much else. If he didn't play QB for LSU, no one would know who he is.
I thought the same thing. I didnt see anything special in him other than throwing bombs and if he wasent on LSU then would have gone 5th round.
The Raiders offensive lineman are horrible....ahhh well, I sleep better when the Raiders and their fans take their lumps.
