http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ining-ground-at-a-rate-unseen-in-nfl-history/ WOW! He has 5.82 yards per carry with over 750 carries. That is amazing. Especially if he can keep this up for his career. He owns the record right now. Breaking Jim Brown's 5.22 yards per carry.
Historic pace to be sure. One thing Brown will always have that the modern backs don't: he did it when defenders were allowed to tackle him by the facemask and cheap shot him at will. Yet Brown never missed a game.
Another thing to remember about Brown is that when he got his 1000+ yard per year it was a ten game season. Now a RB gets there with 67 yard per game.
