Ya and Jonathan Martin is finger painting and pointing to a doll telling the doctor where the "bad guy" touched him......if we had Jake Long for 16 games this year, we are winning the afc east and resting our starters next week.
Yep. If we had him from game 1 we'd be in the hunt for the division possibly homefield. The Oline has had that negative of an effect on the team. He's played well for the Rams, his replacement(s) here? Not so much.
I would much rather have him manning the left side than martin. But the point is that he wanted too much money, especially for an injury prone player.
Has he played well for St. Louis? I heard earlier this year that he was struggling. I haven't checked any of the grades on him throughout the season, but the few times I have seen him, he didn't look terribly good.
Long wanted more than he is worth. The mistake was not moving on from him, it was not finding an adequate replacement at his position.
I know some Ram fans that would disagree with you but putting that to the side for the moment. Are you saying that you feel he is living up to his contract there?
Lol. That's your evidence? He started slow but was playing really well. He very much was living up to it. Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk
My evidence is my eyes. I watched several rams games this year and I saw him getting beat a lot. Maybe I just caught him on bad games but he did not look like anything special to me.
Folks should also realize the risk associated with the contract he sought was exactly this. So the flip side is his injury risk wouldnt have guaranteed him even these 15 weeks healthy if in Miami uniform.
My #77 jersey is collecting dust thanks Jake. Retire? If Only one year for Rams maybe I could wear it again someday.
