no Dolphins smack from Rome...and Jake was as boring as possible...he was

asked about BP said he is "in the background" but attends every practice.

on CPs first day said he "Owned" the lockeroom from day one great leadership etc etc...the one thing that surprised me was he said penny new the ENTIRE playbook the first practice.

Jets game...said he gets excited but doesnt get nervous and he can tell Penny wants it badly even tho he hasnt actually said it.

Pennington was a Rhodes Scholar candidate, so he's a smart one for certain. Still, knowing the entire playbook so quickly is impressive.

Thanks for the pick up Zeke.Had to go eat and thought the thread died a quick death.
I was kinda in shock how Rome did'nt bash us in anyway after the way he talked about us last year.
He also asked Jake about how it will feel going up against Gholsten in his 1st pro game considering how he gave up the only sack to him. Jake said he never gave it to much thought, and wanted to forget about it.But they showed it every 2 minutes during the draft.
Jake is looking forward to helping this team and the challenge in front of him as an OT .He understands there is a big change in the "speed of the game" when the bullets are flying. He feels he is up to it.
He's very impressed with Chad P. and Ricky as players and their smarts.
And the rest was just Rome not trying call Jake,Chrissy.

I realize that this response probably is going to detract from the casual tone of the thread. Nonetheless; true Eidetic Memory, what people call photographic memory is still up for debate. There's alot of controversy in the behavioral science field as to whether or not it's a myth. Regardless, its never been proved nor disproved. Anyway, my point is that quite a few researchers believe that some individuals' memories can become highly trained in their respective field because they spend so much time trying to improve their ability.
In addition, there is a direct link between an individual's IQ and the speed in which he learns.
Please don't misinterpret me. I'm not trying to be condescending. I meant this with nothing but the best of intentions.Your's is a common misconception.

Well Photographic memory or not, I don't think anyone would dispute the fact that Pennington is of above average IQ, as are most players that make it to the NFL. You simply cannot be a professional without being of superior intelligence. Yes I know there must be exceptions, as there always is, but for the most part, no one of just average or less intelligence could memorize & comprehend the intricate and complex playbooks of the NFL.
