    Jags Collier loses leg...

In the midst of all of the financial mess, the firing or supposed firing of head coaches, and everything else that goes into our sport, grim reality rears its head once again - this time with less than satisfactory results. The Jags tackle, Collier, who was shot earlier this month, is now paralyzed below the waist, and has lost a leg.

Sort of puts things into a bit more focus. This young man will never play pro football, and if that was his life's dream, as it usually is, then at his young age he faces a lot more than any of us would like to face. Let us pray that the inherent vitality of the hope in human spirit will surface for him.

Very sad, our thoughts and prayers go out to this young man. May God bless him with an alternatively enriched life full of promise and may he find a way to help other young men avoid this kind of tragedy.

Just terrible. ALthough sad and tragic, hopefully he can find the strength to be happy that he is alive, and that his perspective adapts to understand there actually is more to life than just football. If he changes his outlook, he'll be able to find happiness and success through a different avenue.

Good luck to him, terrible what he has had to endure.

As competitive as this sport is, for fans, coaches, front office types and players none of us ever wants to see something like this happen. My thoughts and prayers go out to the young man. Hopefully, he does have a head start with at least an education to jump start his next endeavor in life...

Shot 14 times while sitting in a car, and the case has zero leads. Horrible.
