Well it is. Certainly the GM anyway. But its more. Our very football souls need saving from the Football Gods who smythe thee. We need our seemingly hapless owner to make a bold move and save our fates. If you follow me on twitter(which I doubt, not many do) you saw my little fruity hashtags last night. It takes a Shula, to save Miami. #HireMikeShula #HMS Just the Gods damned name alone is enough to appease the Dolphin fan's soul. It will save a lot of face for Ross. It may appease the Football Gods...and maybe there is some football sense in there to. Sorry, there is not a ton of substance to this, I have a 5 month old on my lap, and a 2.5 yr old who has to go potty... Save us Mike Shula...you're our only hope!!!
Mike Shula is too green for me right now. I would say he needs a few years more to become a good HC. I would like to have Jay Gruden right now.
Francis, want to start a new club? Maybe take a Mike Shula pic, and put a pop-artsy, Che Guevara spin to it?
Not sure about that one. But if you believe in him, I trust your opinion. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
THis has already been raised before. Wasn't a good idea then, not a good idea now. Tony Dungy isn't the answer either.
His offense does look good in Carolina.. But I don't think we have the receivers for it. Receivers have to be able to separate/create first downs consistently for a no huddle offense.
So Brian Griese coming to Miami as a back-up sealed Mike Shula's fate? This is a "fun" thread, but there are legs to it too. Shula did a very nice job in Bama during his team's suspension. And he has worked wonders with Carolina and Newton. He has been successful and shows promise. Check the negativity at the door. This thread is all about good spirits and high hopes!
I loved Don Shula as the coach of the Dolphins. As far as Mike Shula being the next HC, I'm not buying into it. I don't care if his last name is Shula or not, but I want a HC who can come in and turn this team into a consistent winner. I just don't think Mike Shula is that guy.
Living in Charlotte, I want everyone to PLEASE pump the breaks on Shula. The guy was a qb coach last year, and has had 5 good games in charlotte (before these last 5 games they were calling for him to be fired) and take a look at who Carolina beat. Giants, Rams, vikings, bucs and the 49ers....the 49er game they scored 10 points. He doesnt coach that awesome defense. They scored 6 in a loss to the Cardinals. The combined record for the teams they've beat is dredful. Don't get caught up because his name is Shula. He may be very good, but you should be skeptical.
wait a minuet guys I think we are cursed and to remove this curse we need to go back to the old logo and change the color from white helmets to black or aqua . we need to redesign the jerseys again or bring back the orange jerseys . change divisions because we are cursed in the afc east . we need bring in more competition at every position . I still think adding two more tightends might help our noodle legged oline. we also need to get rid of Philbin because he looks like he should be a funeral home director thus the team plays like they are at a funeral . if any team loses to a winless team the entire team needs to be put n chicken suits and put out on street corners and hold up signs bullies will work for beer.
are you sure that you just want to keep philbin so we can underachieve some more ? I don't dislike your post but Philbin must go at least we should hire a new offensive coordinator and Mike Shula would be a great hire because he could help R.T. with some of his throws. I don't think Mike is really ready so why not make him a offensive coordinator first.
Let's also not forget that Shula is part of the reason why Tyrone Protho is a bank teller instead of a professional football player Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
