It was a valiant comeback. Give credit where credit is due.

No such thing as moral victories for a team mired in scandal that just lost to an 0-8 team with a rookie QB that looks like Cletus the slack jawed yokel and a 4th string RB.

This game should seal the fate of the coaching staff.

They don't game plan well, they don't manage the game well, they don't know what's going in on the locker room, they can't get them to stop doing dumb things and collapsing.

Now they can't keep them focused in the face of adversary(even if it's their own damn fault).

It was a great come back? They were down by 8 at half time. Not what I consider a great comeback.

I have to disagree with the positives. If they expended great effort to come back, but then got gassed, it means they played above their talent level for a quarter, or so, but didn't have the physical ability or conditioning to maintain that level of play. Keep in mind the quality of the opposition. It tells me that this team, this coaching staff and this front office have assembled a perennial loser despite all the cap room, the money spent, and moving up to the third overall pick. If Ross is a good owner, he will hold whomever carries responsibility for this sorry state of affairs strictly accountable, starting at the top.

I think that says more about the demographics than anything else. Many of the true DolFans of the 1970's, or 1980's are either dead or moved away. The hispanic population that moved in to replace them has never been given a reason to devote themselves to the Dolphins and has built little loyalty to the brand.

The worst mistake made was Huizenga's mandate that Dade County be treated as though it doesn't exist. He made sure for nearly 15 years no organized team activities (other than games and draft parties) happened in Dade County. He cut off his nose to spite his face and may have hurt the team forever by alienating 60% of the potential fan base, especially the younger generation which has no reason but to laugh at the Dolphins and its reflected in schools and elsewhere, as kids aren't wearing a Tannehill shirt these days, but more likely a LeBron James jersey. And if those kids became NFL fans it wasn't the Dolphins as they completely ignored them.

I hope you are right. The only way the Dolphins are going to be able to entice a top GM to come to this team is if he is given the ability to hire his own head coach.

Otherwise we will have the same problem hiring a quality GM that we had hiring a quality head coach because Ross insisted on keeping Ireland two years ago.

This team is poorly constructed and poorly coached. That means the GM and head coach both need to be replaced. Hopefully those around Ross will convince him to go out and hire the best GM available and to let this GM decide who he wants to be the next head coach of the Dolphins.
