The Muslim brotherhood has destroyed Egyptian monuments and of course Al Qaeda destroyed the wall side giant Buddha after they came to power in Afghanistan. Radical Islam has a terrible record of eliminating pre-Islamic imagery. It mimics early European Christian destruction of Native American artifacts and monuments in the age of exploration.
