My current xbox 360 is 3 years old and sounds like a rocket ship when i turn it on. I am really debating whether to get the new xbox 360 slim model that just came out and wanted to know if anyone had it and how it well it performs.
There are some reported problems related to data transfer from old to new consoles but most of the reviews are pretty glowing. It's worth a trade-in.
Not sure about the new one but I've had my Arcade version 360 for over a year+ and have had no problems with it (knock on wood). I don't have an interest in getting the new one
I've used it and liked it. Quiet, you don't hear anyhing. Gamestop is doing a trade in special for people who trade in their 360.
I've been on the fence about it, and at one point decided not to. I think I am going to do it very soon, I just need to work out how to transfer my data somehow before getting the new system so I can get credit for the HDD trade in. It it possible to put whatever storage I want on a USB drive (not exclusively used for 360) by picking and choosing which files I want and then later putting that info on the new 360?
Exactly what it sounds like. Some people who've transferred data from their old model 360s to the new model managed to crash and break the new model.
Your general statement left a lot to the imagination and since I actually worked on the console license transfer before my contract ended at XBOX. I was wondering if the part I was working on was the part that was having problems because my contract ended the day before it went live. What you just said wasn't the part I was working on.
