I have a IPod classic. I have a Yamaha receiver about 6 years old, it is an HTR5540 model.. I wanted to see if there is a device that I could get to plug in from my IPod to my receiver, so I can hear my IPod through my surround sound? Thanks for your help in advance.
This may be what you're looking for. I'm not sure I would look into it more if you're thinking of buying it. [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-YDS-10-Universal-Theater-Receivers/dp/B000EVT0XS]Amazon.com: Yamaha YDS-10 Universal iPod Dock for Select Yamaha Home Theater Receivers: Electronics[/ame]
sure is brother. we had a device that would run as an audio input into a receiver (white and red cables) with the other end as a headphone jack that could plug into any mp3 player or laptop. this is what you're looking for: $10 at Best Buy Dynex® - 7' Y Audio Cable - DX-MP3RCA7
John, you can get a simple wire from a radio shack, plugs into your ear phone hole on the ipod and connects to the back of your system, I use it all the time.
Thanks bro. I was looking for a cord that would connect into the bottom to charge my IPod, and have RCA audio jacks, and or for video as well. I looked on Amazon, but I must be having a brainfart cause I wasn't searching under the right words. If you can find them that would be awesome,a nd I would owe you big time.
