I alluded to him possibly trying to deflect from something he was aware of and think he should have answered the question differently. I don't take those kind of answers from my staff. "I don't know" is fine as long as it is followed up with "But I'll find out, or I'll look into it, etc..." And the second part of "I'm not really concerned about it" - after 3 straight losses? Nah, he needs to be concerned over that and a lot more.

From what has been reported, the man just got stepped on by Ross, so that phrase should never have left his lips. Whether plays are being tipped off or not, to state that you're not concerned over the possibility is unacceptable. If a team as bad as the Bills beats you and a rookie DB gets a Pick 6 from watching film and identifying our tendencies, then you know better coached teams like the Pats and stej are doing the same.

We've gone from 3-0 and beating a much ballyhooed Colts team, that just beat the Broncos, to losing to the GD Bills at home during a 3 game losing streak. Much reason for concern about everything IMO.

True they paraphrased the question but even so, I believe Philbin's answer was honest. I don't think he knew the snap count was our tendency. When they pour over tapes they may cut the tapes to play at the point of the snap and the count's are not observed. Or it may be something he didn't pick up on. I'll bet dollars to doughnuts, that the snap count changes this week and that will be your first clue that we have a rookie coaching staff that is still learning.
