I thought he caught a lot of passes within 10 yards of the LOS. Someone had that stat. There might be two, or three tricks. Tony Romo? Andrew Luck is pretty damn close too. And I can see Luck doing it longer than Ben (body style). Russell Wilson might get up there too.
If your QB isn't Joe Flacco or Peyton Manning, expecting a deep throw completion is crazy. For the past 3 years, I've seen Brady miss on the easiest deep balls by overshooting guys.
That's why stats can be so misleading. Yes, he's getting yards and receptions. He's also not been very effective as a WR based on PFF's evaluations. I know they aren't the end all be all but it is an objective evaluation. He's currently rated 102 out of 107 WR's. He's tied for 3rd in the NFL for drops. He's had substanial drop off since 2011, probably why PIT was willing to let him walk. The question becomes, are we getting good value for $60 million. At this point the answer has to be no. Hopefully him and RTH can get on the same page to make more plays.
Goes both ways. Wallace has cost himself at least 100 yards, the bulk of it on one play in the Saints game Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
