seems like the hotsync is messed up, maybe due to the water.....i am not sure how to stop it....but i had a palm centro that would do the same crap.....i ended up replacing the battery and it works now....not sure bro, check the apple forums

What it is is that whatever you are plugging it into is not made for the iPhone. You can just put it into airplane mode if you like, but in all reality you don't have to. If you do not put it in airplane mode you may hear the interference from the phone through the speakers. That's all it really is.

I found this out when my wife bought me a alarm clock for an iPod. It wasn't designed for the iPhone and I could still make it work. I just had to turn up the volume louder due to interference.

basically there is no way to keep the message from popping up. Just hit ok, and the iphone should still work as the ipod, you just may hear interference.

nah I had mine jail broken. It will still pop up. (besides, my phone turned real sluggish once it was jail broke) Its just some type of sensor on the phone that makes it pop up. Thats weird, mine never popped up again after I hit OK once unless I unplugged it and then plugged it back up. I checked into the devices that are for use with the Iphone and they are ridiculously expensive.

i use my old i-phone as an ipod touch. i keep it in airplane mode always. you could get network errors and searches, and if the sim card is no longer in it, that could create problems. the iphone is a phone first and putting it in airplane mode should def eliminate some of those issues.
