Yo! Some of you may know that I've been trying for a few years to get an Architecture job. I have a Skype interview coming up...I already went through a phone interview, and I'm not sure how much in the running I am (I don't live in the city) but it's the most action I've gotten in the job market for quite some time. I was wondering if anyone had any solid interview questions that they've encountered and any advice on how to do a skype interview. I'm still going to dress up, I'll look at the camera (try to anyway), but any advice would really help. I think I nailed the phone interview (thus the follow up) but they were looking for people in the area. Sounds like they may be willing to make an exception for someone with my skillset, but I just want to be as prepared as possible. Thanks in advance!
One of the tougher questions is what are your liabilities. You need to give them something and you need to turn it into a positive. For instance if you procastinate it might make you good under pressure.
Do your homework on the firm, are they a well established firm or a relatively new one? Maybe try and learn the names of the key players that are publicly known and then use some judgment, if it is a newer firm projecting energy probably will be helpful, if it is an older firm consider projecting more of a reserved image.
