International Phin-Phans

There are more than a few of us here who are huge Miami fans, despite being from, or living, outside the United States. It's certainly an odd thing to be a fan of a team that's in a town you don't live in (or maybe never lived in). I feel like it takes people of a slightly different stripe to be international fans of this great game.

I wanted to suggest a banner for "International" members, as a nod to the fact that we are true fans despite not being able to see our beloved Phins in person.

Heck, I don't even know if I'd qualify, as I was a fan in Canada for most of my life, but now live here in Los Angeles. Certainly, though, guys like Boomer and Confucius deserve mad props for their dedication to this team despite having none of the access that local fans enjoy.

Of course, I'm sure banners are usually for something 'earned' here on the forums and we really haven't 'earned' anything by just not being in Miami, but I thought I'd suggest it.

Heck, I'd just settle for a "Canuck" banner w/ a maple leaf. lol.

Might I suggest just a "we don't live in florida" banner of some kind as well? I live in DE and while it's easier for me to travel to see games than someone overseas it definitely takes a certain stripe to be a fan of a team not in your local vicinity.

I think they call it "Displacement syndrome".

Heck, I live in Los Angeles and the only NFL games around are a long drive to see the Chargers, Raiders, or 9ers. Only thing football is U$C (blech), and UCLA (I can't say blech but the record is blech). Maybe a banner by state/country?

Beats watching Raiders, Chargers, and 49ers right? They didn't even have the Raiders game against the Dolphins but they had the one against the Bills.

Cowboys have a winning record. Texans have an offense. Better than watching losing teams with little offense? :confused2:

    1) Cowboys are usually overrated so no.

    2) Texans are frustrating as hell. so no again.

I can deal with oakland, 49ers and chargers................

Did I mention I hate the cowboys???

Well, unfortunately, the Raiders QB is about as smart as the person who's dating the Cowboys QB. Who doesn't like the Cowboys? They're America's team. :shifty:

    Absolutely.

And as bandwaggoners go, we prefer our wagons broken-down and in dire need of repair.

Actually, now that fortunes are looking up around here, many of us are ready to find a better, more dilapidated wagon to push uphill.

    That's awesome, Crunch.

First, maybe we should be sure all of management, and the general membership wouldn't dislike the idea for some reason?
