    From PFT:
Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was listed on the first Dolphins injury report of the year as fully participating in practice despite a hip injury.

Presumably, it’s the same hip injury that he suffered last season at Alabama. (It would be quite the coincidence if it were a different hip injury.) Though he’s not expected to play against the Patriots on Sunday, it’s telling that the supposedly healthy Tagovailoa is still dealing with the aftereffects of the 2019 injury.

The fact that he fully participated in practice means it’s no big deal. The fact that he’s on the report likely means that he received some sort of treatment for the injury.

Limited in practice for the Dolphins on Wednesday were tight end Mike Gesicki (glute), cornerback Xavien Howard (knee), cornerback Byron Jones (achilles), receiver DeVante Parker (hamstring), linebacker Kyle Van Noy (hand), and receiver Preston Williams (knee).

From what I've read, Tua is still working with the team rehabbing the hip and that means by NFL rules he should be listed. That doesn't mean he's hurt or that he isn't 100%...it just means that he visits team trainers for strength/conditioning.

Get used to this- Tua will probably be on that IR list for most of the season. It really doesn't mean anything though.

    From PFT:

The Dolphins had five limited participants in practice of Monday and Tuesday, but none of them are in danger of missing Sunday’s game against the Patriots.

Cornerback Xavien Howard was one of the five and he said last weekend that he wasn’t sure if he’d be ready to play after spending time on the physically unable to perform list due to the knee injury that limited him to five games last year. He was a full participant on Friday, however, and does not have an injury designation for Sunday.

Wide receiver DeVante Parker was limited by a hamstring injury, but he joined Howard, tight end Mike Gesicki (glute), cornerback Byron Jones (Achilles), linebacker Kyle Van Noy (hand) and wide receiver Preston Williams (knee) in practicing fully and getting the green light to play this weekend.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (hip) was a full participant for the third straight day and will be backing up Ryan Fitzpatrick on Sunday. Safety Clayton Fejedelem (pectoral) is listed as doubtful after two limited practices in a row.
