Willing to trade picks for players that fill needs and players I like. Positions I list below are the ones Im mainly looking at. Players on the block: Jamie Silva Kyle Devan Chad Simpson Dallas Clark (starting wr, #1 CB, or picks only) Ryan Lilja Eric Foster Ryan Sims Colts Draft Picks 1-17-17 Indianapolis Colts via St Louis via Cincinnati Bengals 1-31-31. Indianapolis Colts 2-20-52 Colts via Steelers 2-26-58 Colts via Cardinals 3-25-89 Colts via Cardinals 4-123 Colts via Bears 5-1-129 Colts via the Rams 5-7-135. Colts via Raiders Wanted: CB Receiver linebacker (ILB and OLB) The hot rumor around Indy is that the Colts are looking to become a more physical team. Though their finesse style suits them well they would like to improve on their 32nd ranked rushing attack.
Im looking for OL help (specifically improving the run blocking), DT, CB, and picks. Any fair combo thereof is acceptable. If Im talking about picks only expect to move a 1st and 2nd or 3rd depending on where youre picking in that round for one of the top ten defensive players in the league.
I'll give you Rob Sims (good run blocker) and Colin Cole (plugs the line on run downs) if you have any interest. EDIT: Not for Bob Sanders lol. I just realized how that looks and no, not him.
And who is a DPOY caliber player. Hey risk vs reward. Im fine keeping him. Its not like hes a high salaried player and Im up against the cap. And over the course of his career its closer to 50%.
Which is still entirely too much IMO. Someone might take a flyer on him. But honestly given his injury history, he's not worth more than a late 3rd. Especially when you consider at his frame future injuries are likely. But anyway sorry to hijack your thread here
Thats your opinion and thats fine. I find your idea of fair to be ten times more laughable and thats my opinion. Other players like Polamalu have the same styles of play and yet few people would scoff at that price for him. Sanders has a great pedigree and when he is on the field he makes a difference that few single players can make. Dont like it then youre free to shop at the walmart down the block instead of in the Armani store
If Polomalu spent the same amount of time injured, I'd say the same thing what good is an amazing player that can't stay on the field? And I work at a Target...so I'm forbidden from Walmart ever
But the difference when he is on the field in evident. SB champions in 2007 when he played a full season, and in 2005 AFC Title game loss to Pitt (sanders first year as a starter). In 2007 they were 3rd in YPG and had the fewest points allowed In 2005 they were 11th in YPG and had the 2nd fewest Points allowed. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categoryst...d-447263-s=TOTAL_POINTS_GAME_AVG&d-447263-n=1 http://www.nfl.com/stats/categoryst...true&Submit=Go&tabSeq=2&role=OPP&d-447263-p=1 Both of those years by comparison to the years sanders wasnt in there represented a PPG differential of anywhere from 2-7PPG and you can implicitly point to sanders' absence as the single most reason for the PPG differential. So you mean to tell me that getting a player who could cut your PPG down by as much as a TD isnt worth more then a 3rd? Youre not dealin with dOmInIzzO here
How do you explain this year? He has 3 tackles on the year (in 2 games) and the colts are only allowing 19ppg while heading to the Super Bowl. He is good and CAN make an impact, but the Colts are no longer reliant on him.
My value of him has nothing to do with what he can do on the field though it's the amount of time he spends off of it.
This year the Colts are allowing 19PPG like you said. In 2005 and 2007 it was 13 and 16PPG. There's still a huge difference in that defense when he is on the field. Like I said, thats your value of him but your value doesnt change the facts.
Ladies and gentlemen, Griddles has made his usual contribution to a thread..which is to say very little Just Kidding Mat...kinda
updated....except for sanders and Garcon, not looking for a lot in return for most of the players on my trade block...mid round or low picks being the preference depending on the player
two deals done...who else is looking to do something? Players and needs on my trade block only primarily unless blown away.
Clearing cap space. Players I felt were too good to cut but in this league they hinder your ability to maneuver. So I dealt them for slightly less then market value to create room for plyers I do want. Pretty simple really.
Are you interested in Keith Rivers OLB at all? He is a guy we probably wont move, but we are looking at offers right now.
For the right price I'm interested in anyone. Depends what you want back. pM me with what you want and that will determine just how interested I am
i understand the trade with the bengals, somewhat. but the trade with the raiders is kinda questionable. i know saturday is up there in age, but was still a pro-bowler. while that has lost its edge now a days, he was still voted in. if he retires, trade isnt so bad. but if he comes back, thats another pro bowl-esque year at center. hayden, wasnt he the colts' franchise player last year? and imo, bush and addai are a little bit of a wash with addai having the edge. great trade for the raiders, questionable for the colts. just my opinion though.
Addai averaged how much per carry this past year? Bush is also a more explosive and powerful runner. I know many will give the edge to addai but I am not one of them. Saturdays run metrics are questionable and his salary doesn't help. Hayden may have been their franchise player a year ago but doesn't fit what I want to do with the team. He's at times been exploited in coverage. I want better pure athletes and better instincts at the position that hayden doesn't possess and he was not worth that cap number to me. I have some things in mind to improve the colts now that I have given myself some room to do things.
Sims for Garcon straight up would have been fair. He wanted to dump Brock, and I gave him an extra pick. My guess is people weren't dumping at the chance to add Raheem, and thats why his value was a 5th. He helps me in the fact he can play DE or pass rush DT.
Updated to more accurately reflect team needs. clint session has been added to the trade block as well...and has subsequently been dealt already. That didnt take long
Need linebackers and a de. Corners and free safety would be helpful as well. pM, im, reply in thread...I don't care.
Even after 13 trades the colts are still looking to make some moves. Looking for back seven help on defense primarily.
