What if we had gotten Brees instead of Fletcher/Culpepper, what if we had gotten Ryan instead of Long, blah blah blah.

What if San Diego had gotten Manning instead of Leaf?

What if San Diego had gotten Benson instead of Tomlinson?

We bring in TE Eric Green, and he turned out to be a bum. But, Ogunleye was a 'bear' for us and not so much with the Bears.

It works both ways, and my point is that you never have any idea which player is going to do what.

So, enough with the hating on Jake Long because we didn't get Ryan. Chad Henne will be fine.

the Jake Long/ Matt Ryan argument is a little silly. If we drafted Matt Ryan then our Oline wouldn't be able to keep him up straight.

Look at Oakland. Bet they wish they took Joe Thomas.

We're all draft gurus a year or two later. Although the Brees what if still frosts my nuts. Twice.

This whole franchise is based on "what ifs" if you want to get technical. There are so many "what ifs" you would need a journal to keep track of them all. The biggest "what if" is, what if the franchise had been better at drafting talent the last 15-20 years. It doesn't help anything to live in the "what if" world because it doesn't do anything but cause frustraition, as if we don't have enough of that already. Jake Long is a Miami Dolphin and Matt Ryan is not and that is the bottom line and we can't change it.
