They all bring something to the table as a 3-4 defensive end. At 6ft 6in 309 pounds, Igor Olshansky, the former 2nd round pick from Oregon, is a prototypical defensive end. He could also be a 4-3 dtack or even a 3-4 nose should you feel inclined. His salary figure is $675,000 At 6ft 3in 290 pounds, Luis Castillo, the former 1st round pick from Northwestern has been a main stay on the Chargers defensive line. His salary figure is $1,300,000 At 6ft 4in 298 pounds, Marcus Spears, the former 1st round pick from the Dallas Cowboys has been a solid left defensive end for the 'Boys the last few years. His salary is $735,000 Only ONE of the three will be moved. This is another auction. If you're running a 3-4 and need a DE and don't want to wait until the draft to get one, now is your chance. It's difficult to project a college player to a 3-4 DE, takes a special player... I feel each of the three listed above are special in their own right. Now, I have my favorites... so here is how this is going to work and it will more than likely confuse some, including me. You can bid on any of the three. If I like your bid, I'll annoint you the leading bid. Another team will have 48 hours, no exceptions to beat your bid and they CAN bid on a different player. So, you might think one of the guys listed above is head and shoulders above the other guys. Yet, I might think differently... so if one guy is bidding a second rounder, I could take a third for a different guy and think that is the better deal! huge risk... big reward... mmmmaybe. If you have questions, PM me. All offers will be either accepted or rejected. Happy Bidding... Bid Accepted from San Fran for: 49ers offer: 25th overall 80th overall Ikaika Alama-Francis, DE, $460,000 for: Igor Olshansky, DE, $675,000.00 59th overall 140th overall 176th overall .... clock is reset as of 12:43AM Eastern 3/2/09
Carolina is offering its 39th overall in other auctions... surprising... considering... but that's okay...
hmm... little surprised I'm not getting more action...with all the switches to 3-4 d's... and the fact that these three are VERY inexpensive cap wise.
49ers offer: 25th overall 80th overall Ikaika Alama-Francis, DE, $460,000 for: Igor Olshansky, DE, $675,000.00 59th overall 140th overall 176th overall
Just a reminder that this auction is set to end this evening. The 49ers are in the lead, see first post for details on their bid.
3 hour and 23 minutes... approximately, until Igor is Igone... Do you want Igor, do you want Spears... Do you want Castillo... The bid is up from San Fran... it's a good bid and Igor could be walking over the Golden State Bridge shortly...
