us going undefeated? Just need to start out strong and ride the momentum until the schedule softens up. Week 1 in Buffalo - definitely winnable, just need to be prepared and focused. Week 2 in Minnesota - we can win this one too. I'm not buying in to Favre having another good season. This will be the year he gets hurt. He got pretty lucky with some hail mary's last year and is hurt going in to the season unlike last year. Week 3 home against the Jests. They are a mess right now without Revis and Sanchez at qb. I feel good about this game and we should be fired up for our home opener. Week 4 home against the Patsies. We always play them tough. Hopefully be a hot game still and the New Englanders will fold. One of the few games I won't need medi to watch the game. These games are always a tossup but with Ronnie back, NE doesn't know how to defend our wildcat. Then we have our bye week to get ready for a strong finish. Seriously, lots of gloom and doom threads out there starting to get to me... Positive things happen to positive people... Let's drink the Koolaid until shown otherwise.
Nice to see a positive thread. This place looks like we lost a regular season game yesterday. Is it Pat White getting cut that's got everyone fired up?
Before we start talking about going undefeated lets lower our expectation and focus on beating the Bills. Winning one play at a time will put us in the SB. I support your positive thread however. It's a welcome change.
No, to go undefeted you need a lighter schedule. How about: "If make the playoffs, should Sparano and Ireland be given an extension?"
Rex Ryan has tried to lose weight I'm neutral but enjoy reading optimistic posts more then pessimistic ones.
I don't think anyone really thinks we might go undefeated... Agree we need to focus 1 game at a time... Buffalo in week 1 is no different which is why I said: definitely winnable, just need to be prepared and focused. I just don't want to dwell/debate on what if we suck to start out the season. I want to think about what if we are the team our roster says we should be. The FO kept the best 53 they could, and didn't care about when they were drafted or what they cost. It was focused on who has the most potential to help this team contend. Everyone seems focused on the picks they made that they were willing to cut the strings instead of looking at the other moves we made and the guys we were able to get/keep. When I look at our roster on paper we should be solid. Just need to execute. IMO the worst we should start out is 2-2, 3-1 or 4-0 are definitely a possibility. But first... we need to take care of Buffalo.
That may have been a bit more realistic... Although to answer... No... just making the playoffs doesn't get them an extension... We need to win a playoff game or the division first.
game four is the crucible. how we stand in game four will dictate the direction & changes we go with... got to play one game @ a time. lets hope for a Sparano fix & 'Quick Start" against Buffalo. appropriate to recognize concerns, inappropriate to judge the season before it plays out.
