If we dont draft LB, would any of you somewhat feel comfortable with Torbor and Anderson on the inside? I know its likely we will draft a LB but lets say BP is happy with the guys we have now at that position, how would you feel about them or somebody else in the middle gong into the season? EDIT: In short, how would you feel if we had those players as our starters?
I think we draft 2 LB's. IF we don't go Chris or Gholston with the first pick look for a OLB in the second.
I think we are going to draft a line backer. Plus I think Channing Chrowder would be in the middle would'nt he? But yea I think we are going to draft on in the 3rd round
Torbor & Crowder will play ILB, but I still see us taking a LB in this draft. Maybe not as high as many think though.
I'm not sure if you're asking if people would feel comfortable with them having to play the position or being the starters there. If its the first, then yes. I believe they are both slotted to play the inside as of now. If it's the second, others have mentioned that Crowder would be the starter with Torbor, and I could deal with that for now. But I see little chance that they don't draft at least 1 LB and will probably draft two or three knowing Parcells' affinity for that position.
Being the starters there. Sorry about the lack of details lol. Yeah I think they will also draft a LB but I was hypothetically speaking, saying if they didn't, how would you guys feel with the players we have now at that position.
Gotcha. I'd feel comfortable with what we have for a year. Crowder has some proving to do, and Torbor and Anderson would get a chance to show what they can do. It also might allow a couple of guys who showed some signs in training camp and pre-season in Ed Miles and Kelvin Smith to maybe get a shot to show something. The position would probably have to be upgraded eventually though probably.
Torbor should be a decent LB as for us.during the playoffs last season he played pretty good. We do need to draft a Lb a some point.
Sorry, but this is what I see our run-down at LINEBACKER is Will-Outside. Joey Porter. Perhaps has a year or two left..tops. Will Inside. Channing Crowder. This guy needs to be replaced SOON Sam Inside. Torbor. Nice FA pickup, and if surrounded with talent, could really shine Sam Outside. Jason Taylor. Only 2 years left tops... We better look at replacing 2 of the projected 3 starters..and no later than by the end of next season. I think we pick up minimum of two linebackers in the draft. One on the first day.
There are so many needs on this team,it's gonna take a couple years ,as we have glaring needs from top to bottom.so,what we don't get in this Draft we will address in the next. It will be a fun ride!
