If he hadn't done so already, Bush has solidified that he is a real running back....

I heard that his work ethic was similar in NO. I don't think that was the difference. IMO the difference is the system and he just seems like a different runner inside. He seems more patient and when the hole isn't there he puts his head down instead of dancing. He just seems like a smarter runner.

    So what?

"I didn't know that Ricky was the only Dolphin to ever rush for 200 yards in a game... Well, until today, that is." is still an incorrect statement....

It wasn't that Ronnie was never afforded an opportunity, the issue was he was never healthy long enough to seize an opportunity when one presented himself.

Next year we should bring in Pierre Thomas. Saints cast offs seem to do well here. Dude is running well there but doesn't get enough carries

Is Ronnie Brown REALLY a legendary Dolphin? I loved Ronnie and made as many excuses for Ronnie as much as everyone else but I don't think the term legendary really applies here. Especially when you talk about guys like Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Dan Marino, Bob Griese, Larry Csonka and others? In the canon of Miami Dolphins history I don't think his 4800 yards and 36 TDs over 6 seasons (he averaged 64.5 yards per game and 1 TD every 2 games, and that's only counting the games he played) while missing nearly 25% of the games during his time here will be held up as a shining example of success.

    Reggie Bush, 970 yds 6 tds(rushing), 5ypc with 2 games to go.

Darren Sproles >500 yds 2 rush tds...

all year long they have been saying on the NFLN that he's(Sproles) the best transaction...

    ...just saying.

ps, we desperately need a goal-line back. D Thomas has been disappointing all season in that scenario. Kids great on 1st and 10, but not a great goaline, power back.

Like C Chambers game vs the Bills, or AJ Duhe vs the Jest, that is what makes a player legendary.

    Not all that frequently?

The guy had awful vision. He maybe could have done better if he was allowed to carry a full workload with no one taking carries, but that would have been utterly irresponsible a decision to make for the franchise given his injury issues.

I disagree with your conviction on that Player trav..I think what is a more reasonable explanation for his demise are the exact reasons I used to get so pissed off at him for, and the opposite of what the man in this thread is all about..

Imo, Ronnie brown has no'one else to blame but himself, and is just another casualty of a great talent who failed because of a poor work ethic combined with no education or dedication, on, and for his body, for his craft..

People told me I was crazy to write that he was not taking care of his body...yeah, well, released from the team, without compensation, probably out of the league in 1 more year, for a #2 overall pick, gives me some conviction that I may of been accurate.

Lamar Smith had a 200+ yard game against Indy in the playoffs but that game went to overtime so maybe they don't count it.

It doesn't sound so silly when you put it like this: Reggie Bush... 973 rushing yards (5.0 YPC), 270 receiving yards (6.6 YPR), 7 total TDs (1242 total offensive yards) Darren Sproles... 496 rushing yards (6.5 YPC), 659 receiving yards (8.3 YPR), 7 total TDs (1155 total offensive yards)

Sure, if we were comparing WRs, it's a no brainer.

I have never disagreed more about a player. You seem to have blinders when you make an opinion. There is just no way to change it, no matter how much reality shows different.

I think that it's a "no brainer" at HB as well (based on the stats I provided at least).

Love Reggie, I just think that scoffing at the idea of Sproles being a great addition & upgrade for the Saints is pretty silly, especially when citing cherry picked stats from very different situations.
