Wondering what you all thought of an idea for voting: Basically we do two votes...an offseason champ, and then another overall Champion at end of NFL season. That way..you can more accurately judge just how good a team did both with the draft..and Free Agency. Youll have actual raw data to go by. I kind like this idea because some moves people make may look bad at first...but after they actually play..they look like a genius.
Also its tough to judge players raw data when in real life they play in completely different situations than the GML.
Like I said, I'm all for simulating in Madden. Two hurdles is A) salary cap and B) rookie ratings. Of course we can wait until Madden 16 and use the Madden rookie ratings.
we could do both - two votes and madden - again i would be willing to help with madden, isnt there a fantasy draft option in there?
Yes but for someone like say, the Jets, who have Von Miller, Sheldon Richardson, and Peyton Manning, its gonna be difficult to control. Plus getting everyone on to do it at the same time. Isn't gonna work.
help with Madden, eh? So what you're saying is if I go through the exhausting, painstaking, excruciating task of putting these teams together and sim'ing them out, that you'll send me a copy of Madden 15? Fine, twist my arm.... but I'd need to be compensated with a bottle of Utopia.
I like the revote at the end of the season. It also takes into consideration depth, which voting initially usually doesn't.
Not a fan of it. Getting people to stay involved is hard enough IMO. A few days of inactivity and it dies down. Getting emotionally reinvested 6 months later? Yikes. Good luck with that.
That's an easy fix, no? Use Madden 16 (preferably wait until the end of the season when the ratings are most accurate), and turn salary cap off for the franchise. We didn't do a Madden sim last year did we?
