IMO this is a result of the evolution of society in the sense that we simply don't "thin the herd" enough anymore. Here's a guy who is demented enough to perform this act, yet just the slightest bit possessed enough of the instinct for self-preservation to apply a tourniquet to his arm before doing it. In perfect Darwinian world, this guy would either be smart enough not to do this, or stupid enough to bleed out after the act.

If he sees that, he's gonna cut off your hands and slap you with them. He does have experience, afterall...
What they dont tell you is that his hand was trapped underneath a women he picked up at a bar the night before; she was "the mark of the beast" and he chewed it off to escape and not wake her. Been there, done that......
BTW: Who hasnt wanted to cut thier hand off and microwave it a couple times? Nothing new to see here folks..go on home...
Sounds exactly like a scene from the movie "Idle Hands". Scene: Anton the main character chops off his murdering, demon-possessed right hand and throws it in a microwave then cooks it in an attempt to kill it before it can kill more people.
