Today my father died after a long battle with health issues. This man introduced me to the Miami Dolphins and built me into the fan I am today. My dad was born and raised in Maine, in the 50's when he married my mother they moved to Florida to start a new life. In Florida they raised 5 kids including myself. I remember in the 70's my dad bringing me to the Orange bowl to watch our team, heck one year for my birthday he brought me to a charity basketball game it was the Dolphins verses the Rams. He sounds like a great man! Keep things like these in mind and you will find that he is still with you more and more. It will surely help ease the pain.

I'm sure it will be hard at first but keep your head high and he'll be even more proud of his son from above!

The best way to keep his memories alive will be to keep living life the way he taught you and to pass those values on to your kids and their friends.

I am very sorry for your loss of what sounds like a fun, intelligent, caring,father.

My Father was the reason i got into football also, and my grandfather and him were also Phin fans, so this story hits home. While the is no consolation for losing such a great person in your life , i ask ya please to think about how it will feel as you watch every Phins game. HE WILL BE THERE WITH YA FOREVER IN THOSE MOMENTS.
