I was going to stay up late also but as soon a it hit 10 pm PST and I heard that Jason Brown will visit the Rams first, I called it a night. All the hype but it seems like it will be a bidding war and a lot of these free agents are looking for pay days. With the economy looking the way it is, can you blame them?

Kind of odd how only one of the major free agents is inked thus far. At least we know it's not just a Miami thing... it's league wise. Usually by now there is far more activity, but I'm guessing we're going to hear a lot more around noon. That's usually the next big update during day one of free agency.

Stuff will happen, just sometimes these things take time. I'd be happy with Brown, but I know we won't overpay which is a positive. If I see Goody resigned It'd also be good for the day.

I'd take a guess that the reason we didn't see a lot of "big name" midnight signings is partially due to claims we heard of "tampering" from last year. Teams don't want to risk a penalty due to talking to a guy before they're allowed to. I'd expect that honestly, Gibril Wilson is/was our big signing for the year.

To be fair, just cause we signed Smiley last year, doesn't mean we were gonna do the same thing this year.

We actually struck before midnight by signing Gibril Wilson (and Yeremiah and Crowder and Carey). Would you have been happier if we waited 6 hours to sign Wilson?

look at it this way, Miami was way ahead of midnite last night in signing G Wilson, and got deals done with Bell, Carey, and Crowder.
