I'm compiling a spreadsheet with every wildcat play that we have run in 08 and 09. I'm doing this because I dont know any website that splits the Wildcat stats to compare to the rest of our offense. Anyway, its going great. I'm up to week 9 vs the Broncos in 2008. I'm using the play by play on NFL.com and searching for the word DIRECT, to find all the direct snaps in each game. Very simple. One problem. For the Broncos game, they don't list any direct snaps in the play description. But it lists about half a dozen runs by Ronnie from shotgun. So either we did a bunch of draws against Denver, or they didn't mark it the same as the rest of the games. Does anyone know if we used the Wildcat against Denver in that game? If someone knows for sure, then I'll mark these shotgun runs down as Wildcat. None of them gained many yards, so it won't throw off the numbers very much. So if someone knows for sure, please let me know. Thanks. I've got the Denver game recorded. I'll let you know what I find out! I'm quite sure we ran the Wildcat a few times in the game, though. I was actually in the stadium.
Colorado Dolfans - no need. I have NFL GAME REWIND that gives you ability to see any game in 2008 or 2009. If anybody has any request like this then please ask and I will gladly work through a game (especially winning games) I looked through the plays mentioning shotgun with RB. Will look at STL game later. Week 9 - Denver game. They worked WC until the 2nd qtr. Denver pretty much stopped it. 1st Qtr 12:22 - WC (RW did not do a sweep in this one) 8:48 - WC 2nd Qtr 9:00 - WC 8:21 - WC (RB sacked for -9 yards. He was looking to throw) 0:35 - NOT WC (handoff by CP) 4th Qtr 13:30 - NOT WC (handoff by CP) Also, during the game they showed the following chart for WC during year: week yards 3 216 5 167 6 96 7 71 8 52
Week 13 - STL game 1st qtr 9:59 - NOT WC (handoff by CP on RB sweep) 2nd Qtr 0:55 - NOT WC (handoff to Ricky by CP, play nullified on Off Holding) 3rd Qtr 7:43 - WC 7:04 - WC 4th Qtr 2:38 - False start. Would've been NOT WC (CP in shotgun)
