Dude...save it for a game, and even then I question this. However, you are sitting out at practice...I mean what are we talking about here? Practice? Practice? Come on man...we talking about practice!
Like I said...bring it for the game. Believe me...I am a FANatic, die hard, take every play personally, eat, sleep, crap, and crap some more when it comes to this team and organization. I just think there are sometimes a line in the sand that you need to be careful crossing. He is tip toeing it.
Back in the Orange Bowl days, some friends and I would get painted up regularly, we got a great reaction from the crowd and had a blast with it.... However, we never really considered crossing over into the horror film genre..lol I'm guessing he knows someone studying special effects/gore make up...
Lol I see that kid and his buddy every time I go to TC. Its pretty funny, I think they call themselves the bandits or something.
THESE guys http://www.dolfanbandits.com/ They have pics from training camp on their site, I keep up with them on twitter.
Yes...because the whole "have everyone look like a freak" has worked so well for so many teams. I mean, look at the Raiders. Having everyone dress like it is Halloween totally psyches out the other team. Wear the jersey...wear the gear....wear the colors....SCREAM AS LOUD AS YOU CAN. fwiw, that last part is the real home field advantage. We need 76,500 of them before we need a thousand douches painted head to toe!!!
just because hes painted and a hardcore fan......doesnt make him a douche..... its all fun....who cares???
I am looking at the reg pics of them on their site.... I guess the paint is an improvement. I think this is hysterical: "Manny is one of the Dolfan Bandits and spoke with us via telephone about being called a super fan. “We are truly super fans … We are unique because unlike other super fans, we give other fans our phone numbers and contact information. If they want to talk football, then we are available. All they have to do is call us”." Yes Manny...that is just some crazy out of the box thinking there. LMAO! I mean all of us other Super Fans who are just as wild and crazy fanatics (but don't feel the need to paint ourselves and show off our beer guts) that open up ourselves daily to the world through the internet, and especially water cooler conversations during our 9-5 jobs as well would have never thought of that to make us the premier Super Fans. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Sorry...these guys seem very douchetastic to me. That is just my opinion.
well agree with some of this. i dont care for the people that talk like they are bigger "fans" then us "normal" fans.... all the dolfan stans and papa pumps and "bandits" are nothing more than fans.....like us.....but with the money to get season tickets.....i dont think of myself or anyone on this board as less of a fan of those guys......imo the hype they recieve is mostly "self driven" its just a game fellas.......just a game....
IF I lived anywhere within driving distance to JRS, I would be a season ticket holder. However, living 10 hours away (drive time) doesn't help matters. I love the fact this year that I will be able to be at the Falcons and Jags game...and am still working on the Carolina game (which makes it tough since it is a Thursday nighter). I will be at those games wearing a Dolphins polo shirt and cheering them on as loud as I can. Hell, my falcons tickets came from a falcons player. I will be sitting in the Falcons team family seats...right in the heart of the enemy...and will be just as loud & proud as any other Dolfan across the country at that same point in time. imo, the paint doesn't make the fan....and looking at these guys without paint (all tatted up, gold teeth, etc) doesn't raise my opinion of them.
Yeah, well he, as a fan, is in TC mode as well...got to get all the paraphernalia out. You see the players in full pads and uni's, well the fans can do the same.... Ok, a little excessive for TC, but what the hey !!
Next you'll be telling me to sit down during games. Perhaps keep my voice down? We need more of these people. These kids are great. They're having fun. It's bad enough that Miami fans have the reputation of being soft and having a general malaise about everything. Here's a thread admonishing some kids for being hardcore fans, telling them how they're supposed to support the team.
wow.nice job on the paint. when i opened this i was expecting someone to have started a fight or threw a drink on someone or...something mean and cruel. not a random fan that painted himself well..i could even see if the paintjob was vulgar. if a little football spirit gets your panty's in a bunch(sorry ladies) i suggest you go watch training camp for golfer's or just stay home. boy i'd love to see the tiraid you would go on at a raiders camp.
Regardless what there wearing or what they look like,"THERE STILL DOLPHIN FANS". AND THATS A GOOD THING IN MY BOOK!!!
If that's how he wants to support the team, who are we judge? I'm sure not going to give anyone hell about being too passionate about the Dolphins. Since when does that make anybody a douche? If it does, they might as well rename this board Douche.com.
I would do the same thing if I lived near the Miami Dolphins TC. Iam aas pumped as that. I cant wait till the Carolina game.
**** we should get them to post here, granted the last time someone suggested that we got Ohio Brian(thanks Section) Hey dont be knocking Big Papa Pump!
those guys are awesome. we need more maniacs to get to the stadium and make it a bit more of a 'hostile' environment for opposing teams.
didnt knock him bro......hes just a fan like us....i just dont put him and other "self named super fans" up on a pedestal
Remember the Finheads? They got all pissy because they wanted on field passes and to be considered the official Superfan Mascots of the team. The team told them no, but gave them great seats...but that wasn't enough for them. Not sure if they still go to games or not. However, all these guys are nothing attention whores. They might call themselves Superfans....however, the real reason they do this is for perks and tv time. The "bandits" are no different. What do they want? They want people to help pay for them to go to every road game. What would that give them? Press...tv time...etc. Classic attention whore technique, iyam. You know who the real superfan is? It is the dad that take his son or daughter to their first dolphins game and teaches them about the ins and outs of the game and the history and pride that comes with being a Miami Dolphins fan. That is a real superfan!
Preston, you or I'd never do it, but its harmless. I wouldn't want to see a stadium full of them on TV, but it is energizing to see such "in your face" enthusiasm for our team.
