Have you ever had one of those dreams, where your worst fears are realized? I had one of those on Thursday morning. Yet this is a story of fears realized, and joyous victory. When I woke Thursday, I was in a sweat. I felt both relieved, and depressed. Caught in a rare state, where I could remember my dream, I lay in bed in awe of what I had seen. This is that dream. I remember being in a public setting. It was either a formal church gathering, or a family reunion. Neither of which I attend with any frequency. My former boss was there. He says to me, "so, you see the game?" Immediately I gasp for air. I realized that I had completely forgotten that it was Sunday, opening day. Knowing my boss was a New York native, I quickly read his facial expressions, and replied, "the Phins crushed them, didnt they?!!" He confirms my suspicion. He tells me how the Dolphins were the most physical team he had seen in a long time. He felt bad for his Jets......then he fades from the dream, and I turn to my father, who is standing at the other end of a very long table. My dad is stunned that I forgot what day it was. I stumble to come up with a reason for forgetting, but come up with nothing. My dad is a Packers fan, and a Favre nut. He was also in a somber mood. Then my dream ends with me searching wildly through town for a TV that is showing highlights. When I woke, I was overcome with joy that I didnt miss the game. Yet, part of me wished the beatdown I heard about was a reality. What does this all mean? I think it means the Dolphins win 38-6.
Sounds like a premonition to me! I'll go with that score! Overall great dream though. At least we won. Its times like these I would rather dream of a PHINS win then of having one of those "good dreams" about "naughty ladies". Man I must be getting old!
Holy Crap! Do you know how many times I have those kind of dreams during football season? In fact, last night I had a dream that I didn't wake up until after 2:00 P.M. and missed the entire first half. I wake up from those "dreams" in cold sweats thankful that they are only dreams.
i usually have a dream about the opening game of the season. its not a premonition of any sort, nor is it at all accurate to real life, just reinforces the fact that im a little too psycho with this game. havent had it yet though.
Its all part of my plan to eat, sleep, and breathe Dolphins Football. I got the dreaming part down. Now I just gotta figure out how to eat and breathe it. Tricky.
Chad Pennington isn't capable of putting up 38 points. You better hope 14-21 of those come on Defense or against Mike Westhoff's Special Teams.
Week 13, 2006 season. Opponent: Green Bay Score: 38-10 How quickly Favre makes you forget about the guy who you guys hailed as your savior less than a decade ago.
Damn, I forgot one of the best parts of the dream!!! All my 'Phins' from the contest section, they're bet on this game. Heavily weighed towards the points over/under. Anyway, in my dream, I specifically remember getting excited because I doubled my Phins, catapulting me into the upper class on thephins.com. I felt rich, lol.
Luckily for us, Chad Pennington isnt our only player. The Jets have the alltime INT leader as their QB. And we have one of the best KRs in the NFL. It wouldnt be too crazy to think that we could score 14 points from our D and ST. Then Chad and the offense only have to account for 24.
So Ted Ginn is one of the best KR's in the NFL based off of what exactly? How many KR's for TD's did he have last season? Justin Miller & Leon Washington bring a much bigger threat on returns, Brett Favre although the all-time INT leader is also the all-time leader in W's, TD's, Completions and Games Started by a QB. Be shocked if your QB, at 31, can start his second full season since entering the NFL in 2000 and being named a starting QB in 2002. Your leader throws a ball worse than 6 year old girl on muscle relaxers (and as a Jets fan I have every right to say this). Some leader. Chad is not the same player he once was. Just becuase he and the Jets have owned the Dolphins the past ten years doesn't mean he is a good QB. We've seen him play well in the Preseason before and not pan out when it matters. Lucky enough for you, you'll see it soon enough.
I had a dream last year before the season started that Ronnie Brown tore his ACL. I posted it at the other place not sure if anyone remembers but we all know how that turned out sadly.
Man that is horrible...like having a dream about Jessica Simpson or someone you have the hots for and waking up before you get to the good part. I hate when that happens.
I had a dream that a mob running to a sale pushed my mom off of the top level of the mall when I was 11. Since I'm not longer 11 I can say it outloud. She was ok, she landed in a planter.
How is it smack? Seriously? What has Ted Ginn proved as a Kick Returner in the National Football League? He had one Punt Return against Philadelphia last season and thats it. So I can't bring up a fact that he hasn't proved anything? Seriously? Thats lame, sorry. Also, I've been saying the same things on Pennington since he was a Jet, my tune isn't going to change because he's a Dolphin. Good luck Sunday.
"Your leader throws a ball worse than 6 year old girl on muscle relaxers" I take that as smack. Far as Ginn goes, the guy had 2 TD's called back due to penalties. he should have had 3 on ST's, that's damn good for a rookie. Good luck to you as well!
second half of the season teams kicked away from Ginn a lot...So I would say NFL Special Teams coaches think Ginns a great returner...thats good enough for me.
