No, not really. If he ever looked tiny, it was because he was buried under a pile of 300lb defensive linemen.

Dude's bigger than Lemon, bigger than Brees, has the same physical characteristics as Trent Green. He's fine. The fact that he stood up to the beating he did tells me his physicality is not a problem.

Yeah but we're talking about Parcells. He's already talked about the "volatility" of the QB position and has called Beck small himself. Granted he said you shouldnt throw QBs in before theiy're ready but he's going to evaluate him himself and Parcells rightly or wrongly has a preference for big players. Beck is really going to have to stand out in someway in Parcells eyes for him to feel comfortable with him. He's certainly not going to leave the position alone on blind faith

We went through this with Ronnie until he busted out of being called a bust. Give Beck a running game, pass protection and some recievers who can catch and I'll bet he's a QB we all warm up to pretty darn fast. The kid is very accurate( when he has time) and he throws a nice deep ball and I think his size is less of a problem than I'm hearing on this forum. He should pound weights all off-season and get stronger all around. Then, if we have a running game, if we can pass protect and if we get some recievers who can catch the ball Beck will have his first chance to shine. HE HASN'T HAD A CHANCE YET!

Face it people, we have had big stinking steamy piles of dung at the QB position since Marino retired. We're long overdue to find our franchise QB so we can actually go somewhere, move the ball and score points.

I cant for the life of me understand how anyone can make any kind of decision one way or the other on Beck yet. Are people just completely insanse when it comes to the QB position in Miami.

You cannot tie up tens of millions of dollars in a first round QB. Get over it....Beck is our guy.

I think after last season NO ONE knows what we're going to do with that pick. That's why I wont be counting on anything. If we take Ryan with the 1st , I will be pleased. If we take Long/Gholston/Dorsey, I will be just as happy.

In regard to Beck's size, he reminds me a lot of Colt McCoy the year he took over from Vince Young. The next season he put a hell of a lot of weight on and looked a lot more solid. I was concerned over his build when I first saw him, but he'll improve.

So yes a QB should be considered because as of now that is a large gapping hole in the Dolphins as-is Running Back until Ronnie Brown PROVES otherwise for a season.

And all this "Drafting a skill guy early is a bigger risk" is just BS. I've looked through years and years of Drafts and the percentages for Bust players is no better for a DE or Offensive Lineman than it is for RB or QB. The only difference is QB's and RB are names and faces we see almost everyday while a lineman (etc...) is about always forgotten. What matters is how smart the person doing the drafting and not the position.

You guys might not be but I'm no longer interested in hearing or making excuses. I don't care if it is Parcells 1st year or Becks 1st year because all we seem to get are a bunch of "Next year" or "Give it time" reasoning from fellow fans and the Dolphins.

Cam is not playing Beck for one simple reason, he is hoping to save his job by winning. If this team was 4-11 then you would see Beck play, but the fact is 1 win still looks bad and Cam isnt worried about developing Beck right now.
Cams draft decisions last year have nothing to do with Wayne bringing in Parcells. BP would probably be here if this team won 5 games. I personally think Cam is in over his head. Many of his game decisions and play calling have been horrible. Just for that reason I think he should probably get the can.

Man I'm disagreeing alot tonight, damn. There is no way to make the season look good period. At least if Beck was in the Draft would look like a winner.

In my opinion, if the front office feels that a guy like Matt Ryan can be THE guy, they will take him. It doesn't matter that we drafted Beck last year and he really hasn't had a chance to prove himself. ONLY Bill Parcells knows if HE thinks that Beck can be a great QB. If he feels that Beck is anything less than that, then he will draft a QB, no matter what your opinion is.
