Compare the first few 2 seasons (give or take a few games to make it equal b/c of injury/not starting) #'s are very very very similar. Tannehill has more upside.... I think. But he will never get there because he doesn't make improvements in the area's he is lacking. He is just consistently bad to average in these things. (Pocket presence, deep passing, checking down on 3rd downs & ability to show up for big games)
I think its more do they believe he has the "it" factor. The swagger.... We've seen it a few times, but Ill be the first to admit thats the one of his biggest flaws. The dude can flat out chuck the ball, and he can use his legs to move around make those throws. But, I dont think he thinks he can at times. Enough with this Opie Taylor bull****. Thats the one thing I think being around Marino will do for Tannehill. Now remember, Marino didnt come on board until what, mid way through the year. Tannehill is now gonna have a full offseason with Marino. That fire HAS to be contagious. How can it not be.
