This is where I’m at with the organization. Grier had as much draft capital over a 2 year stretch as any GM would ever dream. The foundation for this team should be set for 5-10 years. But instead we’re left with a roster that can’t stay healthy, isn’t tough enough to win a road game against good opponents and has passed up on great players for marginal to slightly above average players. Now we’re in salary cap hell and no real answers about who our franchise QB will be, needing to rebuild an OL(again), a defense that might not be full strength until mid season and probably wasn’t that good to begin with and his win know all in move was a complete blunder. I don’t think Ross is smart enough to make the right decision. He’s going to get duped into the look at us winning 2 more games this year(even tho the schedule got significantly easier). He’ll overlook the epic 3 game lead over Buffalo collapse by this team, how ineffective our “revolutionary” offense was when it mattered a QB who sh**s the bed against good competition.
Amazing article, finally somebody said what had to be said. I am convinced Grier must has some deep dirt on Ross that he is holding over his head to not get fired. Ross can't be this stupid, or maybe he can I don't know.
I just watched the Grier/McD press conference. Grier said he was happy about the core group of players we have on this roster. Got me thinking, who is that core group of players and how many of them are elite? The only one I can think of is Hill, maybe Mostert and Chubb before he got injured. Ramsey has been elite in his career but didn’t play that way this year. Maybe the injury is lingering. We had 9 player selections in the first 2 rounds of the 2020 & 2021 drafts, which were rich with talent. We have 0 All Pro players to show for it. Where is this great core of players?
Classic Grier. Go all in on win now, leverage your future to do so, trade picks for expensive contracts and then go 1-6 in games that show whether you can be competitive against the top competition.
It‘s comparable to Tua imo. Grier is the best we‘ve had since our glory days till after the Wannstedt years (that’s when it started to really go „south“). If next season is not better then last season, he should be in question, when you look at Houston or Green Bay…
Good but injury prone players, and none of them are all pro. The only all pro player Grier has drafted in the 8 drafts he's been responsible for was Xavien Howard in the second round. He also had Tunsil fall on his lap and Minkah, but neither of them are with the team anymore and he pissed those trades down his pants. The man is incompetent.
I hate ****ing talking about ALL THE ****ING PICKS that Chris "the Conman" Grier had at his disposal, and how he pissed them all away on absolute ****.
