Don't see any thread for on the field news for today , so here we go . Roberto Wallace caught a 40-yd pass in practice, and he referred to Hard Knocks afterward when he said, "How'd you like the ankle weights on that bomb?" (Coaches scoffed at him in a meeting for running as if he had ankle weights). BenVolinPBP profile BenVolinPBP From today's Post: Dave George says all signs point to Tannehill being named the starter, but don't expect much early bit.ly/OsLZri OmarKelly profile OmarKelly I would say Legedu Naanee has done more in this camp than Brandon Marshall did in last camp. Put that in perspective. OmarKelly But in fairness to Brandon Marshall, Legedu Naanee is working with MUCH better QBs, and a better passing offense OmarKelly profile OmarKelly RT @Dan_Coral: who has fewest drops? Davone Bess?» OF COURSE. He consistency brings it every day. Always reliable. OmarKelly #HardKnocks Impact: Chris Hogan has had a solid camp, better than Clyde Gates. But NOBODY talks to him until he's spotlighted on the show
First of all, thanks for starting a thread. Roberto's comment is WHY I love Hard Knocks. This is how it POSITIVELY motivates many players. Hearing that pricked his ego and maybe woke up an IMMENSE physical freak and talent for us. THANK YOU HARD KNOCKS!
Thought pretty spot on when Ireland said they had lots of 4/5/6 wr's , they have to see if they have any 1/2 or 3's. I also don't agree or am fretting over getting some of these wr's on the practice squad , any team signing a player from the ps has to add them to the 53. There is some risk of course , if some teams get wr injuries , but they also have ps players. It isn't like we are loaded at the position and we have an embarrassment of riches there. We have bigger concerns than worrying over whether some of these guys MAY get poached imo.
OmarKelly Joe Philbin admits Ryan Tannehill will play vs. A first team D at some point. Only time to do that is this week or next. Next week is HARDER OmarKelly BUT if I had to GUESS, I'd say Ryan Tannehill will start vs Carolina on Friday & they battle it out for game 3 start next week BenVolinPBP profile BenVolinPBP Philbin on Tannehill: "Very, very poised. At this point in time, I would say he "gets it," it appears." Yes, Philbin used air quotes BenVolinPBP profile BenVolinPBP Philbin on Brandon Fields punting the ball: "It's kinda like watching Sandy Koufax or Roger Clemens throw a fastball. He's got some pop
There was not a whole lot talked about on twitter which is why I did not bother with one today. Seems like the SFL media feels kinda sheepish now after HK spotlighted Hogan and they basically ignored him. THill is still raw folks, Philbin knows this which is why he had a "oh crap" reaction when Garrard had the knee surgery. Coach can read a schedule the same as we can, he knows the season pretty much comes down to the first 6 games.
On that TD to Clay, RT did a great job of looking off the coverage. You know from his comments afterwards that Clay was his primary target on the play. We had enough camera angles/views to see that RT looked left the whole time before hitting Clay in the middle. It's also something that highlighted as a strength in those Gruden QB shows. My guess is that it's far more likely that Omar doesn't know what he's looking at.
pfft, you're just looking for an excuse to use "WHY I love it pricked HARD" in the same sentence. ....... you and your hidden messages.
