nice sturgeon, they are a blast to catch and one Hell of a workout! I've had fish, not as big as that 600lb monster, pull a 27 ft boat almost a mile down river and spin the boat 3 times. I know here in the states, they would have lost the record because of handing the pole off. only one person can reel in a fish for the record to stand.
Rosie's a whiley prey. She prefers a bait that consits of a Mickey D's french fry grease molded into a taco...wait for it, wait for it.... I have hooked the beast twice and each time she surfaced I immediately cut the line, ending any undo suffering to myself.
Probably best to cut the line... why would you want to catch her - you can't eat it or mount it? And you sure as hell don't want a picture to show your friends.
They had to unless they wanted to take a chance and wind up in jail. I've never seen a fish worth that price!
