Hey Guys We recently put a bunch of tilapia in our pond to help control the weeds / algae. We want to fish them out before winter hits but aren't quite sure the best method. The pond is already full of bluegill - to the point where you can practically catch them with an empty hook - so I'm trying to find something that wouldn't interest the bluegill but would do a good job of fishing out the tilapia. Any recommendations? Thanks! (Also - I'm up in Ohio - not sure if that changes anything, but thought I should throw that out there.)
I would suggest pitting the bluegill against the tilapia, using subterfuge and manipulation of the press. When that's done, launch an anti-talapia/pro blue gill propaganda campaign to try and win the hearts and minds of the bluegill. Once that's achieved, it should be fairly simple to enlist the bluegill's assistance in removing the tilapia. Now, the only potential snafu is if these particular bluegill are soft in their resolve. In that case, you'll probably need to select the most popular of the most physically fit bluegill and enter them into a training program that will turn them into an elite fighting force....a bluegill black ops squad, if you will. Now, you may have to brainwash these elite bluegill to give them the intestinal fortitude to carry out the tasks required, but that would make their special forces training go quicker. Once honed into the perfect bluegill soldiers, give them some "successful teaching methods" training so they can go and train the other bluegill, while you're out procuring the supplies they'll need to lay siege on the tilpia and stage their pond coup. Once that's all done, pat yourself on the back for a job well done. Easy.
Small generator 1 wooden pole with copper line attached at the top 2 pieces of rebar driven into the bank.. You'll figure out the rest... Or if you can, use a cast net and keep the tilpaia and toss the blue gill back
use a very small fly lure with a half shot to get to the bottom. Tilapia usually are lower in the water column than Blue Gill. Therefore..most of your hits will be Tilapia.
no no no fools everybody knows this is the preferred method...
May I suggest dressing up one of the tilapia as a lady tilapia and using it to attract the other tilapia.Bugs bunny style yo:
To get rid of the hippos you need 3 cases of beer, a hunting license, and a huge hole lined with charcoal and wood
Stick you index finger up you ***...rotate it a few times until you get the smell on it good make your index finger into a hook and put your hand in the water...the dirty **** eaters will practically catch themselves.... No, buy really, I used to love Tilapia until I found out they're the fish that eats all other fishes ****... --- - Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
