With Christmas coming in two or three days i dont know if there will be any football games on but didnt we play the Lions or somebody back in the Saban administration or was is it futher back ? I would love to see the orange unis while miami plays in the snow somewhere but with our struggles ,playing in the snow is hazzardous to our offense so never mind about that.
The most famous Christmas game was the one we played in Kansas City on December 25th, 1971 and it was a playoff game and is the longest game in NFL history - almost 2 full (15 minute) overtimes. http://www.profootballhof.com/history/decades/1970s/longest_day.aspx We were supposed to eat Christmas dinner at my aunt's house at around 4pm when the game was supposed to be over. We didn't eat until around 5:15 because the game went so long. We didn't care because the Dolphins won. It was also the last game ever played at old Memorial Stadium in KC. They opened Arrowhead the next September and the 1st game was the Dolphins who once again beat KC to inagurate that stadium.
Didn't Miami play the Browns while wearing the Orange Jerseys on Christmas Even back in 2004 during one of Jim Bates' games as interim coach? The final score was like 10-3; truly awful game, but Miami won.
I know we played the Jets on Christmas day in 2006 and the Lions in 1995. Also the very famous game against the Chiefs in 1971. There were others I'm sure but those are the ones I know of. EDIT: Lions game was '94, not '95.
1971 @ KC ....Miami won 27-24 (2 OT) as was mentioned. 1994 vs. Det...Miami won 27-20 2006 vs NYJ...Miami lost 13-10 That's all the games Miami has played on X-mas Only 15 regular season games and 2 playoff games overall have been played on Christmas day. I guess Jesus isn't a football fan?
2-1 on Christmas Day http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Football_League_Christmas_games In 2006 we played on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
i was wondering that too but I seem to recall beating someone near Christmas or something but the eggnog was too potent .
thanks for posting and I for one had a dream a couple nights ago and we played Green Bay in the super bowl after a 15 - 1 season.
Walter never specified gender, just that he exposed himself to an 8 yr old. You are assuming gender based on da Jesus being, shall we say, rather flamboyant.
