A 20 person league? Wow. My first inclination is to say your team is awful, but in a 20 person league I guess anything can happen, and you have Drew Brees and some decent receivers. Isn't Deuce McAllister suspended? I'm just not sure how a 20 person league even works. Whoever gets the last pick is basically screwed.
well last pick gets two picks, instead of 1 amazing player, they can get two good players, yeah i thought a 20 team league was too much, I had 9th pick so basically i took Brees and then i had to build from there. edit: yeah Deuce McAllister is suspended, but i think 4 games, i picked him in the second to last round, there was basically no one left at that point
I could be wrong, but I don't think Deuce is on an NFL team unless something happened recently. But maybe he'll get picked up by somebody once his suspension is over.
I would be starting leon over fred taylor every week. Taylor is washed up. Having done 20 team leagues, the teams that watch the waiver wire best will win. Injuries happen and depth is especially valuable in those leagues. I dont know whats left in that league but deep sleepers like Malcolm Kelly (starting), Bryant Johnson (starting), laurent Robinson (starting) make for quality depth over platoon situations like Cammy/Hartline (more hartline), if theyre still available. Backs get hurt frequently so the best thing you can do is stay on top of that. Depth wins in these leagues so I would try and trade Brees for a slightly lesser QB and a upgrade at RB
should i trade Brees for Ronnie brown and Chad Pennington? It would leave me with Chad and Collins as my QB, maybe ill ask for ginn too, he has all 3, because chad is his backup qb
I would consider it if the other team includes ginn. I'm iffy about pennington as a fantasy starter though because of the offense he's in being so run heavy and his injury history. Brees is an elite talent so I'd be looking for someones late 1st/early 2nd rd) and a decent fantasy qb like mcnabb or cutler or cassel for brees +
I personally wouldn't do the Brees for Brown/Pennington/Ginn trade becasue having that many players from the same team is a bye week nightmare
That first Drew Brees trade is a joke. You're getting worse talent back than what you are giving up at just about every position. Please tell me you're not seriously considering it? In a 20 team league Brees could win you the whole thing by himself. The rest of the offers for Brees are also awful. Save for Adrian Peterson there's nobody worth giving Brees up for unless you were given huge upgrades at just about every other position.
