We had our saddest Dolphin thread, so now, let's have "The happiest, best, or most memorable Dolphin memory" for us. I guess I'd have too say the union of the '70's teams. And getting Dan. Ok, now it's your turn.
The Fake Spike play with Marino against the Jests, Watching Marino fall down the draft boards to us, seeing Shula get the all time wins record, getting Parcels and crew to run the show.
Dolphins Redskins in '04. My first football game ever. My son, Ricky, scored. gadsen scored, and we all cheered for Fiedler over Griese
Since I was not alive during their last Superbowl victory (although I was conceived right around that timeframe) I have about 3 to choose from: Fake Spike Game Dan setting the All time TD record NY Giants beating the Patriots in this year's Superbowl But I know the happiest I ever felt was when Dan came back form his Achilles injury and threw that 4th down bomb to Irving Fryar for the win!
The Monday Night Comeback. Prediction: When we win the SB in 2011, THAT will be my fondest memory, until we win it again in 2012!
Thanksgiving 2006, when the dolphins played the lions in Detroit, when everybodys favorite Joey Harrington came back to Detroit and whipped the Lions! Mainly because I was there, it was my first phins game. So its near the top for me... The Fake spike play... and of course, Greg Camarillo this year... no further explanation required.
Bills at Dolphins in '05. I was at the game, there couldn't have been more than 1/4 of the people left in the stadium, a good portion of that being Bills fans in what was a sure blowout for them, but us remaining finfans got LOUD, like Orange Bowl in the glory days loud, as our fins came back from 20 points under to win the game in the final moments, 24-23. Simply incredible.
Brandon27,: I was at that game too. What a great game for Joey and the fans wanted to lynch Millen!! LOL
These were the great games I was at,mind you. 1-Marino's comeback game in 94' against the Pat's.Dan had like 5 td's and Blesoe had 4. Iving fryer had a great game. 2-The game after 9-11 when Fieldler ran the ball in w/8 seconds left against the Raiders. the game was postponed a week and it was hottest game i remember going to. 3-Our last home playoff game against the Colts.Lamar had that monster game 204 yards I think.Vanderjackel missing a field goal and us pounding the rock all second half. 4-All the Dolphins-Jets games I've been to at the Meadowlands in the 80's. Stoyo. kicked his 59 yarder in the wind,Nat Moore twirly bird catch, the scab game(LOL).the 51-45 game was great. How much Jets fans hated Marino is priceless. That's all I got for now,I'm sure I'm missing a few.
Watching Dwight Stephenson repeatedly pancake "The Fridge" during the 85 game...and the 85 Bears game in general...the announcers said the Fridge and Dwight was going to be a great matchup...they were wrong.
I have an autographed picture of Ears Fiedler, where he is on the ground with the ball just over the goal line...he raised the ball in the air in victory. Not the greatest game or play ever, but man I do recall being super excited about that play!
85 Bears vs. Dolphins MNF Trace Armstrong burying Doug Flutie to end the 98 Wild-card game Dan...anything and everything Watching Coach Shula's record setting victory from a hotel room in in West Palm Beach
One of my all time favorite moments as a Dolphin was in 1995 I believe....Ralph Wilson Stadium.....Mr. Brian Cox showed the crowd what he thinks of the Buffalo Bills!!!
the victory over the patriots at home in 2005( i think), i was on of the only phin fans left in the stadium, it was freezing and the stupid patsie fans where heckling me in my own stadium....The looks on their faces were priceless when we won that game.
The game when Csonka got called for "Unnecessary Roughness" while running the football. Csonka almost putting Pat Fisher in the nickel seats when Fisher tried to tackle Csonka high. Watching Marino walk up to take his first snap in '83. Just knew that he had "it" and that Woodley really didn't have that quality, but was one hell of a football player. Watching a Marino pass knock the chalk off of the receivers gloves in the middle of the field and seeing it replayed on TV. The Moorelicopter play.. The Hook and Lateral... even though the game was lost in the end.
so many to choose from... the one where we beat Buffalo in Buffalo in the early to mid 90's, I forget the exact date, I'll have to look it up... but after losing to them year after year, in the playoffs, we finally beat them in Buffalo.. I think Louis Oliver returned a pick for 102 yards, dancing down the sidelines... that is a great memory.
Beating NE by 1 point.....and the HUGE comeback against the bills when Sage "The Rage" Rosenfels led us to victory!!!!!
well right now the happiest moment would be the cincy game week 17. because every time i get to watch my fins play is the happiest day of my life how's THAT for sappy? is it sad that its true?...
I remember the Moorelicopter play, it was un-real. I really liked him. I got his jersey for Christmas one year.
When Ronnie Brown just demolished guys grom the raiders and when we bet the Patriots by 1 in 2004 when and when we we were down by 20 points at half to the redskins and came back and won not sure when that was but it eas the first time we wore our orange jerseys
I was at the 98 0r 99 game at INDY when Marino led a late comeback by hooking up with Gadsden in the endzone with seconds left....Dan had like 400+ yds passing and converted an awesome 4th down on the final drive. Pretty much Marino's last great game. You have to see him in person to appreciate how good he really is.....the velocity, the ability to put a football anywhere he wanted. Nobody better. That and our last playoff win at home vs the Colts..(Lamar Smith)
The Dallas Thanksgiving games. Both of them actually. Fiedler creamed them, and then of course the Leon Lett snow game. Both awesome games. 87
I remember the back-to-back Superbowls, but I was in first grade around this time so I could not really appreciate it much. One moment that really stood out for me was being at Invesco Field in Denver a few years back and watching Olindo Mare kick a FG to win the game in the last minute.
The playoff game against the Seahawks in 99. It seemed like watching the Dan Marino of old one last time. AS JJ said when he gave Dan the game ball afterwards "DanMarino-that was one hell of a game."
That Indy playoff game, 2000. My first playoff game attended at Joe Robbie. Watched as Lamar Smith ran his heart out. I was an ever bigger fan that day, and I believed back then. That was of course before I found out Wannestedt was secretly an alien sent to destroy the dolphins.
There have been a lot of great games but watching Camarillo cross the end zone line this year was awesome. I didn't think that one could ever be beat for m e......... Till I saw the Pats choke on thier camara in the Super Bowl
I was one of the few who stayed for the entire game. Was sitting in front of a bunch of Bills fans who were talking smack the entire game. When it was over I just turned around and stared at them....
