I hope to be a father someday. My father wasn't there when I was little, and my step dad never loved me like his other three children because I wasn't his. So my grandfather was like my father to me until he passed away in 2002.

I hope every single one of you on here with children knows how much you mean to them even when they don't tell you, and even when they act like they hate you. They love you very much and you are the most important part of their lives.

It's been raining here all day, so I spent most of it watching Tombstone and The Outlaw Josey Wales on History Channel Real to Reel along with my son...it was his first time watching the movies and he loved them.
Wife and kids are taking me out for a steak dinner in a bit.

You know, it's been almost exactly five years since my dad died...I still think about him a lot. I hear an interesting piece of news, or a new good joke, or something about the Dolphins and I'll think "I should call Dad and tell him," before I realize...oh yeah. I can't.

This is my dad in WWII (he was the nosegunner on a B24 bomber):



And this is him about a year and a half before he died.
