Hester and Lloyd News

The Chicago Tribune reports that Devin Hester and Brandon Lloyd looked like the most "legitimate" NFL wide receivers at minicamp.
The paper suggests that the two players' performance during offseason work could leave Mark Bradley fighting for a roster spot, but that seems unlikely. Lloyd's always had a reputation as a great practice receiver who couldn't carry it over to game day. Hester has been had praise heaped on him all offseason, but the biggest threat to Bradley's playing time continues to be injury.

He's also limited in route running, really does't get out of cuts quickly and is primarily a straight line route runner. As for Brandon Lloyd, I think the article hits it on the head. He never shows up on game day and I remember seeing a gif a while back of him running a crossing route and when he turns his head he relizes the ball is on a b-line for his head. Instead of getting his hands up to make the catch, HE DUCKS and lets the ball go past him.

The Bears offense is going to be a joke in 2008. I think they'll pick in the top 5 of the 2009 draft.

I remember that. Can't find it anymore. The guy has good talent. He can make spectacular catches and etc but he has no work ethic.

That's what I am saying though. He goes out and makes a BEAUTIFUL catch and then does this LOL. Guy has talent, just no heart and work ethic.
