Worst playcall in Miami Dolphins history

Can anyone tell me a worse playcall in the history of this franchise than the Wildcat play we just ran on 3rd and 6?

Henne is 4/4 for 46 yards, and we go Wildcat on 3rd and 6 from the NE 38.

The man has ****ing lost it. Tired of the excuses. The man is a saboteur. Sparano is responsible for letting it happen.

This is so frustrating. The wildcat doesn't work anymore. Stop using it.

I knew Henning was one of the worst playcallers in the NFL and even I'm shocked at how terrible a playcall I just witnessed.

These threads will stop when our OC doesn't kill our drives with a wildcat play on 3rd and 6 when we are just outside of field goal range.

I concur...I am, pardon me for the language, but f**king pissed at this guy's wildcat bs...

Thankfully, Wake and the game has come to play. I like the two down lineman d looks they will seemingly use. GO DOLPHINS!!!

This has gotten to beyond the breaking point. He has handcuffed us inside the 10 calling this crap and now he does it again here. I am sick of it.

Not only that, but they ran the dumbed down (non-Ricky in motion) come-get-Ronnie version. Might as well take a knee there.

and posts get lost in there. It is impossible to have a discussion in a game thread. The game thread should be for play by play, not open commentary by the masses for discussions.

Not saying we can't have side threads but we dont need 60 threads all saying the same thing. Im sure the mods dont need the extra work.

The bigger issue for me is, I don't get why we didn't keep running the ball after that huge run by Ricky. We keep running there, we run the clock down, and worse case scenario we settle for a Field Goal and 10-3 lead before the half. Should've worked Brown and Polite in. The run game was working.

We did a similar thing last week by passing it every single time at the goal line. It didn't work, just like the wildcat didn't work. Maybe they'll get the hint now.

I'm just convinced they don't want to get a big lead on any team in the NFL. We never do, and the last time they did [Saints game] they blew the lead anyway.

So you're ok with Wildcat on 3rd and 6 from the NE 38?

The point is, in that situation -- a predominantly passing situation -- you don't take remove the threat of the pass.

What's sad is that he's calling a great game aside from that play.

Same thing we say every week. :(

We need to stop worrying about Henning and worry more about Bonamengo first. Special Teams is pathetic, we had better special teams in 2007.

Dan Henning and Bonamego or whatever his name is need to be fired THIS WEEK. I am fed up with this bull****. FED UP. Both of the ints came on 1st and 10's near the red zone. The second one near the end of the 2nd quarter was with 3 mins left. Dan Henning is such a good offensive coordinator.

Both INTs were on Henne, those were on bad passes. But I won't defend Henning. I have been on his *** since last year and he is still pulling the same ****. He will call a solid drive then do something stupid and put us in a bad position. Ill timed wildcat plays, silly stuff like WR screens, reverses to Marshall. God just play football sometimes!

We go from zero creativity with the Stashe to mediocrity under Saban to ultraconservative/ultragimmicky with no happy medium under Parcells/Sporano.

    Ugh.

....and Henning play calling strikes again on that 3rd down play leaving 4th and 2 and then calls a crap play again on 4th down.

Listen the three picks by Henne were his fault by far....but here is my problem the play calling by Henning has its brief moments where it seems like he is starting to understand and then sure enough he make a bone-headed call at a critical point in the drive.

I'm not sure how many people noticed, but I didn't see a single deep pass called all game long. I don't want hear this crap from the coaching staff either that they called deep passes, but they weren't open or some crap like that. Call a fly route to Marshall down the sideline and throw it out of bounds if he is covered, but make sure you throw it to keep the safeties back.

Otherwise, the mid-range passing game throughout the course of the game disappears because the safeties don't drop as deep as they should. While we are criticizing coaches, someone needs to teach our special teams coach the X's and O's of kick protection schemes because he obviously doesn't have a clue how to teach the players effective schemes.

Dan Henning is NOT the reason we lost the game. Having said that WC on 3rd & 6 is straight up ******ed. I spent much of the game shaking my head at the personnel groupings. We're 4 games into the season and I haven't seen a single screen or smoke route to Marshall, the best after the catch WR in the game. Inexcusable.

And why do we throw quick screens to everyone but Marshall?

Bro, I was thinking the same thing during the game when I saw the CB on Marshall playing about 8 yards off the line. I kept saying to my friend that when the defense does that Henne should hike the ball take one step back and fire a bullet to Marshall and let him beat the corner one on one. That play would probably go for a minimum of 10 yards each time.
