Well deserved indeed. I just hope that people don't say 'oh he only won because he died' because he was amazing in that film. He made people forget about Jack's Joker in the original 1989 Batman verison and really made the character his own and was truly a memorable villian.

All the buzz in Hollywood is that he is a shoo-in for the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) award next week, and of course for an Oscar nomination, on.....ironically Jan 22nd, the aniversary of his death.

The shame is we won't get to see him expand his craft... the accolades are great, and deserved for sure, but to me it is the loss of what was to come that is a bummer.

I would concur completely with this thought process...thats the real shame!
